@Spearhead If you just want to make a custom cage, search in the editor for units "Fence" and look for PLP Containers

I downloaded all the PLP mods seperately but could not find it, do I need to download the PLP all in one? The person who made the vr gun range has just the door part of the cage so I know its out there somewhere

I believe it is the PLP mods only in that cage.
You can get the PLP ALL IN ONE.

This mod does not let me see it in my scenarios, where can I find the objects to make this cage myself from scratch and add my own equipment?

The tactical cages have undergone an unwanted change by upgrading the mod, so you will have to manually concert their doors as soon as you can launch an adjusted version.

Any mission or scenario downloaded from the Steam office will be on the following path on your computer:

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ userdata \ 22117461 \ 107410 \ remote

So go to this folder and copy the mission pbo file or scenario using the control + c shortcut on your keyboard and go to your editor's mission folder, in the following path:

C: \ Users \ your name computer \ Documents \ Arma 3 - Other Profiles \ your game name \ missions

And press control + v after pasting the file into your game directory you should extract the pbo to that folder using the PBO Manager program, to do this:

1. Right click on the file and go to pbo maneger and extract to "archive name" (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16369)

2. Once done delete the PBO file from the folder, open the game with the mods that that composition or scenario needs and enjoy.

The missions you play on servers are also the same process above, however their files are in the following location:

C: \ Users \ your compute name \ AppData \ Local \ Weapon 3 \ MPMissionsCache

I hope this tip is useful because it is easy for 90% of players to know it is not.

Having trubble finding the composition, can't find where its dowloaded and can't add it in the 3den.

Saved/Steam is the folder it stores them in I believe

Open the scenario by playing it and it will save a copy to that folder. Google has the answers you are looking for.

im have trouble accessing this. i have downloaded this from the workshop downloader but where do i put it? in the FAQ it says Usually when downloading the file you will be able to access it in the folder of your documents: (C: \ Users \ yourcomputername \ Documents \ Arma 3 - Other Profiles \ yournick \ multiplayer \ foldername). i dont have a multiplayer folder but have a MPmission folder with nothing in. plus the download is a pbo file. as far as i know 3den dont open pbo's. i be at this for a while trying to figture this out. please help

This can be used to make the composition you desire. I havent tested but it was recommended. I just been making layers in the editor like you do.

If you rotate or move objects in the "wrong" way, yes they will break. You must disable the earthquake options and you can not use the mouse with free movement, you must manipulate the set with the tools of the top of rotation or movement of the x, y, z axes for this by clicking, holding and moving only by the directional virtual arrows .

@Ferdilanz It's good there, you have to create a composition, but you have to generate a SQF encoding and compiling it as a mod besides hard work is something I do not know how to do, so everything is there in this difficult way.

upon further research, I found that BIS does not allow people to publish Custom Compositions on Steam (as of yet).

My apologies to everyone for the difficulties they have, but I do not know how to develop much beyond 3den, I do because I like to produce something for the game community and as a form of personal therapy.

Remembering that files are often organized into folders, if it has a padlock active, select the folder of double click and make the padlock inactive so that it can interact, I do this with constructions with many objects because it is common to select what does not want and erase or move by mistake.

I apologize for not being able to make this a mod, but I do not know how to make or use the tools for it, 3den is a kind of tool for dummies like me, I hope you can use this material and that it makes your games more realistic or fun , grateful and I hope I have helped.

Relax, you can ask yes. It's stored in your missions folder in my documents. I believe you should open it inside the editor so you can modify or import it into any scenario you want.

Attention ARMA3 deforms rotated objects, so disable the terrain and alignment functions of the 3den, done this control + x on the selected objects and control + v on the island you want to place the objects! To move the objects on the island that you have never chosen mecha with the mouse, activate the 3den x, y, z axis tools, when you do this you will see a cross with three colors: red, blue and green or yellow .. something like that, done this move the whole building by holding one of the arrows and dragging!
