No longer functional. The individual player maps won't load. :(

@Z Games

Very THX. I use this mod create a game rule video. (chinese)

Nevermind about my comment on the compass tool - i was thinking about it all wrong.

Still finding things flying when people flip their maps and things falling through drawers pretty regularly.
Dr Mogs 21 Apr, 2020 @ 9:42pm
can you add a 2nd map for all players so they may draw on there own 2nd private map
Z Games  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 12:28am
After one TTS version update the old rulebook asset became buggy and determined to troll. I should have removed that.
ZayZayEM 3 Apr, 2020 @ 12:11am
I really like a lot of this mod. The movement tracking and circular/cone tools work really well.

Current beefs

- turning pages on rulebook sends stuff flying everywhere
- things regularly fall through the table and draws
- the compass tool in the shared infinite bags is not lined up with the compass on the map
- there is no horizontal or vertical line tool (for east of, north of etc.)

No. you cannot. That is some limitation with the texture of the minimap. That unfortunately cannot be changed.
nukembig 1 Apr, 2020 @ 2:01pm
One more question. When I started up the game, we cannot draw on the private mini map projection. We can draw on the Main map.
Z Games  [author] 30 Mar, 2020 @ 6:35pm
Ahh i see. Well, you may try to resize the district down a bit so that it do not overlap to cover other districts. you can resize down by pressing "-". Effectively even if the black shape is smaller than the actual district, it should not affect the game play since it is just a reminder on your mini map. It is a good idea to place grid lock on district hints since their locations are fixed. I did not realise that.
nukembig 30 Mar, 2020 @ 12:55pm
1) Ah, I see my confusion. I meant the district hints, so when I get a hint that district 8 is clear,
I would pick up the black shape and place it on the mini map. This is my problem, I cannot get
the shape to line up. Its always a bit off, then I need to flip it and try it again.
Is there a better way to do this other than trial and error?
Z Games  [author] 30 Mar, 2020 @ 1:42am
1) it is in a bag. I forget the name. but it is just a smaller version of the big cone shape tool on the main map. 2) you can if you have basic knowledge of script. If not, then i do not recommend mess around with the scripts.
nukembig 29 Mar, 2020 @ 10:46pm
Thanks for doing this map. Its very impressive. I have played it once or twice.
Also thanks for responding so quickly.
1) I am confused by your reference to "cone shape tools" in the drawer. I don't see anything like that.
2) can I unlock the small map to rotate it?
Z Games  [author] 29 Mar, 2020 @ 8:50pm
@nukembig 1) if you mean sector hints on your personal map, there are small sector hints cone shape tools on your drawer, besides your personal map. They are not grid locked because the original position when you initiated your sector hint is not fixed. So try to hold the edge of the tool and place it accurately. Player map is fixed by script to avoid you accidentially unlock it, and everything drop and fly around
nukembig 29 Mar, 2020 @ 11:50am
1) How do I line up the sector hints? they do not click into place, then I need to flip, and remove them.
2) How do I rotate the player map. It seems locked and I can not unlock it.
Z Games  [author] 3 Mar, 2019 @ 1:21pm
Players from two sides of the table would certainly have different views of the main map on the table. It is up to preference to set up whether they want their personal map to be 1, consistent with their view of main map, or 2, consistent with traditional North upwards way. I used the 2 approach because all other components, like district hints and campus hints, are by default North upwards. It is, also possible, to change a main table, and put all four players on the same side of the table, to solve this problem
Luckyn 3 Mar, 2019 @ 11:19am
yea that's an other suggestion I thought but forget to say
I think you should have all camera set on the same orientation as the main map at center. Anyway all players will move to the center to move their pawn, and it's a bit confusing to have to rotate the camera to match location
MikoML 3 Mar, 2019 @ 9:56am
Some of the tables don't have a map that would match their player view on the table. Is there any way to fix this? Because rotating the map rotates the map for all players.
Z Games  [author] 28 Feb, 2019 @ 8:44pm
This one looks promising. Let me have a look
Luckyn 28 Feb, 2019 @ 11:45am
hey, not sure if I forgot the link on my previous comment or it was deleted ^^
I was talking about using camera from "Figurines with limited gizmo controls and camera interaction capabilties" instead of CHRY
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843866693

with it, I managed to put a blank board over the TV and draw on it and use the line tool
Replace that blank board with a transparent one and you should be good :)
See https://imgur.com/a/3OVgK4B
Z Games  [author] 27 Feb, 2019 @ 7:39pm
You cannot really. I have tried that and I have transparent sheets objects. Even with another layer of objects above the screen, you still cannot input any commands when your mouse cursor hovering over the screen area. What's worse, if you draw some lines on another object and move that object onto the screen, the lines would disappear. So, sorry, nah.
Luckyn 27 Feb, 2019 @ 3:32pm
just found this mod which seems to be able to have a good projection too, but without the issue of "non UI interaction".
So basically we could just add a transparent tile (I didn't find any yet...) onto the TV to be able to have an interactive minimap without having to flip it

Even if idk if I'll motivate enough to try to update it haha :D
Z Games  [author] 26 Feb, 2019 @ 3:52pm
Maybe one day I would obtain a computer science degree and rewrite the projector asset bundle myself to solve the issue, in a parallel universe. :steamhappy:
Luckyn 26 Feb, 2019 @ 1:08pm
Just noticed your post on the CHRY mod about that exact issue :D
Sadly I think your flip trick is probably the only workaround for now :/
Luckyn 26 Feb, 2019 @ 10:53am
Hey, great mod, thanks !
It's actually the first time I heard about CHRY mods, that projection seems pretty cool. But isn't it an other to interact with those minimap other than flipping it down ?
It seem pretty not intuitive for some beginners TTS users :(
that would be the only bad point I found here
Nocturne 20 Feb, 2019 @ 7:37am
This table is awesome. I excpected a lot lesser if by any chance a treasure island mod pops up. thanks uploading.
Z Games  [author] 16 Feb, 2019 @ 1:00am
Some players cannot load CHRY's GRID table. I met at least two. If you cannot load in his mod you wont do here either. If you can in his mod then you should be able to here as well.
