Great idea and aplication. Do you think if the weapons were all positioned to fire behind your ship that the energy expent would help propel you away faster so I'm able to book it before they are in range to slice and dice my ship (and me) with those bloody wapons core horror shows. :) Nah, it's great and thanks for putting it outthere for others to check out. Have you considered foregoing the ammo and have it draw energy and hydrogen similar to hydrogen thrusters and have the color be adjustable by sliders?

side though have you considered making a black beam option ? or im not sure how they did it but make the beam so the player can color it like the 2cm system did (seen it on jack rpg youtube)

Is there a way to change how heavy they are? Im using them on rotors and they seem to act as they're really heavy when i move around.

If it is using Hydrogen, why use Gas Canisters. why not just a pipe connection and that it eat up hydrogen directly from the hydrogen tank.

could i have the original files so i can make a personal OP version? were doing a roleplay and we need heavy grazers, weapons that would tear through heavy armor blocks like a red hot knife through butter. and these have the best range, size, and power consumption to make our SHRIKE's every bit as deadly as they are supposed to be without adding dozens of reactors

Hi, your mod is quite impressive and a first on the workshop, the other energy weapon mods are not as good as this, i would like to suggest new sounds, something more beliveable, and prehaps model, if you wish, i could try drawing a design, as well for the turret wich would be simply amazing and again a first i believe, at last, i would recommend re balancing the PCU cost a bit and adding power comsumption.

In mulitplayer, beam does not show up for friend. Why does it do that? This is a perfect star trek weapon, otherwise.

Beam visibility problems, like disappearing before impact, or appearing further out from the weapon, are an issue with how bullets are handled in SE's engine, and unfortunately there's nothing I can really do about it.

Basically the "collision" detection area for each bullet is larger than the visible tracer, which is what we scale and adjust to make beams like these, and so the beams appear and disappear further away than they should, and if you're close enough to the target, they can fail to appear at all

When I aim the cannon with the beam on at grids, the beam disappears and reappears after I aim the beam away from the grid

also notice the beam starts off, about "20 m out infront of the block" when using the small version, wana fix that + the sound loop, need a tad tone down/ change. Aside that Great mod ++

Update: Removed everything else from the world save for the Particle Cannon grid and the target grid and the damage calculations still suck, even with only one cannon inflicting damage. The sound stutters and the beam is no longer visible. Horribly optimised but I'm really looking forward to it working properly.

Those are really CPU-heavy. I've tested them against the GSF line-of-sight lasers and the latter have proven to be much more optimized. The resulting damage calculations for the Particle Cannon were significantly limited, resulting in a much smaller damage output than the single large GSF beam, despite the use of 25 Particle Cannons in parallel. I liked the THICCness of your cannons' beams and that they make a sound when they shoot.

small ship versions do not fire when selected, you have to group them and set the group to shoot on/off, have not yet tested the large ship versions, otherwise I love the concept

No turrets atm 2Dash, but that's something I'm considering for the future, once I get a bit more comfortable with modelling.

Hey, are any of them turrets? I have been working on a castle like warship, that uses shields and laser fire along with unique thrusters. A very good edition would be turret versions.
