Ok, yeah, I have no clue what's going on there then. Unfortunately I lost all my directory files for Divinity Engine during a massive Windows error a couple of months back so not sure I'll be able to look into it beyond diagnosing it in theory for you.

Are you running any other mods that specifically impact Lockpicks or something tied to them? For example maybe reworking undead lockpick ability?

These mods actually only involved like 2 or 3 variable changes for each of the items so there shouldn't be a reason for lockpick to break while the others work perfectly internally at least.

Unless something changes a lot of base game items (as the eternals are just modified versions of those) then I'm not sure what would cause this, honestly.

nah ive had them disappear from regular bag inventory and its only ever the lockpick other 2 the repair hammer and repair kit never vanish but ive had the lock picks randomly vanish when loading save on multiple different saves now

That's very strange.
Is this a specific bag? (+from a mod or base game?)

They should be using the same tags on everything so no idea on the cause of the different behaviour you're experiencing.

i dont usually post comments or anything but ive had this happen a few times on reload of save the eternal lockpick disapears from bag ther eternal hammer and disarm kit are always there but the lockpick goes poof

Assuming the translation of "Built-in" is correct, I don't know how to add it to player inventory at start nor how to change normal lockpicks to do so, unfortunately. I built it like this as this was the simplest way to achieve what I wanted to make.

Hm, not sure I'll really be able to fix that on my end as I would have thought the game only checks if you unlocked it or not, not what tools you used to do so.

I'll add it to the description as a note for everyone else, but honestly given achievements aren't meant to work with mods at all, I don't expect that'll be fixable - particularly if the game is checking "Is player using lockpick specifically" as well.

Not sure has anyone brought this up yet, but using Eternal Lockpick does not tick Infiltration achievement, only vanilla picks do. Just found this out myself.

Having checked, all three eternal mod items are present for me on the ship which should mean the mod is working perfectly fine on the latest patch.

So the potential problems narrow to either

a) Somehow a bad copy of the mod is on steam and no-one else has commented about it yet, and I'm using an old local copy of the mod that somehow works regardless (I don't think so, according to file dates on my system, but who knows)

or b) the issue is somewhere at your end of things, which means I cannot fix it myself.

Given the usual business with mods, I am going to assume for now that it is B unless someone else comments with the same issue, as its a massive pain to clear out any and all local files within the engine and game to make sure I'm using the latest steam copy myself.

And all that assumes I am using a local old copy that works somehow which I do not appear to be doing so. + frankly the user-side error is extremely common with mods.

I'll look into this now, but my guess would be the issue is either a) somehow on your end, i.e mod not enabled or b) the last update broke the mod by editing the ship somehow.

I will check my game to see if it is problem A first as that's way faster to do then check locations via the editor.

These do not spawn, locations 1 or 2, on 2 fresh new games.

Now that I've had some time to burn, I've pushed an update out to all Eternal mods that hopefully resolves that issue.

Yes I double checked, I unsubscribed and resubscribed. and I was able to get the tools and the lock pick, but the hammer wont spawn no matter what I do. I tried putting it at the very top of loading, the bottom the middle and nothing.

You should be able to do so, I use all of the Eternal mods in my games for example and it works fine.

You sure you've got everything enabled on your end?

Having checked, the mod hasn't something lost the Arx level edit that adds the lockpick. Check you have the mod enabled in game, I guess.

If you hold left-alt where you spawn the first time in Arx it should be right behind you.

So finally just tried to get these items... its not in my game nearly the crashed lady V in Arx, I tried loading an older save too and not there either. Any ideas?

If it works now I'll update the other two eternal items the same way. Make sure you're using an updated file by deleting the old one in the my docs/larian/DefEd/Mods folder to force steam to update

I know there is a "What is this project for" Setting when at the very start of making a project, and I believe I've found the way to adjust that setting later.

I've pushed an update to this with the "GM Mode" setting I have found enabled, let me know if that allows it for you.

That would be excellent, I'm not 100% sure, but I thought you could just toggle a setting somewhere to make it available in GM mode.

I'll look into it, but I'm not entirely sure as I've never used GM mode. If I can I'll probably just bundle all 3 eternal tools into one GM mod

Ah crap, Ya im in Arx have run out of Picks and cant find any nails so my game is on hold as I cant cope with the lack of picks! Can you reply on this thread when youve added to your mod pack? Or if there is another way to get it...

There isn't an instance of it inside Arx, I placed them in the early game assuming people would grab them early on. I'm guessing you added the mod mid play-through?

I'll probably add an instance of each Eternal mod at the start of Chapter 2/3/4 to be safe in an update soon, but none exist in Arx right now.

Just in case anyone gets this issue:
The mod temporarily caused the stairs on the lady vengeance in the ship battle segment and after it to disappear.

I've updated the mod with a fix already, just make sure your version of the file is up to date by unsubscribing and then resubscribing then reload a save just prior to the stairs disappearing and you should no longer have the issue.

The cause was simply adding an item to the lady vengeance which is bloody weird. The 6th lockpick has thus been moved to the start of act 2's beach instead.
