I think that such progression is added by other mods, which I hope are compatible with this one.

No. You'll be able to research higher tier tech, but will stay as a medieval faction. Like how the vanilla tribal faction works.

like goes from medieval to industrial to spacer

FYI the most recent game update seems to have broken this mod, when starting a new map with this faction I get the following exception:

I spent a lot of time adding and removing mods to figure out the cause and starting with this faction seems to be the only common denominator.

Thanks for updating this

Spotted: I had to research basic scouting,
Colony Manager: it seems reasonable to me that the medieval era had stocks management
Medieval Medicine: I would think early medieval medicine would be a starting bit, but uncertain,
Insulation: given they were constructing their own houses instead of finding caves to live in, I'd think biomass insulation would be a reasonable request given that was a common roofing material, at least, based on depictions of them

Which mods specifically?

Tribal and Outlander factions start with different research; since the Medieval faction is neither, it doesn't get either set of research.

hey, do you think you can add support for popular mods? this scenario will disable all the research you would normally have at this stage for other mods,

This is exactly what I was looking for, I was afraid I had to mod it myself :) Thanks for sharing this :D

I've been hoping for something like this! I wonder if someone will make medieval
NPC factions that use vanilla gear. Fingers crossed!
