Nice chamber, unfortunately, the exit to the main room had totally evaded me, the button looked exactly the same as the others, and the only way i could get the text prompt to show up was by no-clipping under the map, before finding the exit, i also found 2 secrets: a few can of beans next to an orange light in the far corner, and a picture frame changing. i understand the effort that went into this chamber, but the correct door wasn't obvious enough, i think it took me around 15 minutes to locate it.

I like where this is going! Nice introduction with a genuine friendly side of GLaDOS, and from what I see so far, with the title and the spare testing elements around, i.e. turrets, floor buttons, etc., I'm getting the impression that this story is revolved around the Perpetual Testing Initiative aka Chamber creator (I may be wrong with this, but that's the impression I got), which does pique my curiosity!

really really liked the test, i finished it with no problems whatsoever, and i liked the vibe of re-doing the first puzzles because you are new test subject, so it makes sense, overall great introduction really looking forward for the full map.

I'm mitigated about this map.. i see you put some effort into it, but there are many things that made it very annoying:
Random details without logic, lights too brights, huge empty space where you have to find the exit, and finally levels directly taken from the main campaign..

@bvsmtih You need to jump at the highest point of the ramp. That should give you enough height to get to the other rail.

I liked what you're going for, but I do have some criticisms. Firstly, I got a sense of space existing for the sake of space and clutter existing for the sake of clutter. It's cool that you want to make the world you're building feel alive, but discarded activateables and arbitrary walls is not a great way to do it. And speaking of discarded activateables, please make the door to get out of the warehouse more obvious. I spanned the whole area before I started trying buttons. Keep up the hard work!

Very Nice! I really liked the map and the level design!

Two things to work on:

1. Maybe put a door frame around the motel doors - they look a little bit out of place

maybe it was just my PC glitching or something, but i didn't get far because i couldn't open the door to get out of the relaxation room. also, when i went in the bathroom, i couldn't open the door again to get back out 8p am i missing something here?

Very large chambers but not much going on - just walking around and back and forth to solve easy puzzles. It all looked very good and was fun. Thanks for creating.

Ok, based on some of things I'm seeing here in the comments section I'll try to make the tests in the next part a bit more to the point and less expansive. To tell you the truth, I made the tests themselves a long time ago in PTI and just never published them, but I can go back and make new ones based on what I have already made. That said, the size shouldn’t be too big of a problem in later tests since you'll get the dual portal device very soon. Thanks for all the feedback!

A few criticisms:
1. This map is big in a bad way. Invisible walls and a huge scale in the first room force the player to take a certain path, which is very annoying. Furthermore, the very simple puzzles in this map become annoying and tedious when combined with the scale of the map. The 3-button puzzle, for example, forces you to walk for what seems like ages just to administer a solution that you already know as soon as you walk into the room. This is frustrating.

2. The large hangar room at the beginning lacks almost any visual hints as to where you should go. After being forced to walk around the set path, I tried a few of the (not obvious at all) buttons, which didn't work, so I figured that wasn't the solution and went looking for something else. I thought for the longest time that the changing painting Easter egg was the solution.

3. The storytelling is very vague and limited.

Overall, 2/5. Needs improvement. I look forward to the next one.

Thanks!!! Yeah, I'll be making the hallways between tests in the PTI editor next time, then I'll go spruce it up in hammer as opposed to doing it all in hammer. Should look better that way.

OMG. It was so good. but i think you should place some interesting stuff after every test. but over All it was a very good looking map and cool design and delicious puzzles like original portal. Good job man. keep up the great work :BSheart::2015holly::p2blue::p2turret::p2orange:
