@JimmyJim - As for the pets, it probably has to do with how the objects changed. I'd have to see how the custom pets mod works, because if it does something to the SAIL (which is the object that spawns the pets in the vanilla game), then that could be the problem. Unfortunately don't know if that will be feasable atm :(

I dont think you will need to worry about code as that is already handled by the base game. I think you only need to worry about functionality, making sure things dont overlap when the ship upgrades, etc.

The point of these mods is to improve the ships included in the base game as well as various race mods, not remake them. Only improve them. You are probably asking the wrong person in this case.

HOWEVER, it would be an fantastic idea to ask the dev of the Arachne mod themselves if you want to make your own ship design. Fun fact, the ship the Arachne mod currently features (and this mod improves on) is not the final design. If anything its a placeholder until they come up with a real design. If you wanna help, seriously, ask; They will provide the resources you need to create your own design.

As for the issue with pets: never had that issue, could be a conflict with another mod.

First of all I want to thank you for your work on all these amazing mods !
But I wish the arachne ship was more.. arachne, as much for walls as for SAIL who doesn't have any specific design.
I recently created a server for friends and finally add a bunch of races with their own better ships mods and realised that my fav race was a bit left out compared to all the other races..

Do you plan to make an update soon or could you share the tools needed to eventually create my own ? Thank you in advance ♥

Oh and also, I realised when I had to reset all my mods that the better ships mods seem to remove custom races pets, is there a reason about it ? I wish I had my arachne pet back but if I have to choose between your mods and my pet, I'll choose your mods ;)

"Better Ships - Things"
But it is not listed in the "REQUIRED ITEMS" on the right >->

Great work again! I was going to tell you some some weirdness I noticed on the Tier 7 size but it's all fixed in Tier 8 and it looks so awesome, so it isn't worth mentioning. I like what you did with ship locker, the doors, and the SAIL avatar. If only the actual animated SAIL could have an extra pair of eyes. I don't know what you do for a living but you have mad skills for graphic design and coding.
