It's completely random, the problem is this mod is out-of-date and probably doesn't work with the current version of the game.

Just started approx. 10 games in a row and the only nation that got it's ideology changed regularily was Germany.... not worth testing and a complete waste of time.

No, I explained in other replies why I don't think adding neutral would be a good idea, so scroll down to those if you're curious. As for other mods, I wasn't aware that there were any mods that did this. This mod isn't based off those, and doesn't use their code, it's all original scripting. I simply made it for a Let's Play series on YouTube and some of the viewers asked if I could upload it to the Workshop.

And they work exactly like yours does. I usually use it on alt history mods to make it intresting.

At first i thought this mod didnt work, hit play, set speed to max, got lag, saw country next to me change name, clikced on it, confirmed it was different ideology, then saw other countries taking effect, so im excited to see how this goes

No idea, you'd have to test it. However, if it did work, then all the major countries would have the vanilla national focus trees rather than the Road to 56 NFs.

Yeah, doesn't have anything to do with Bird Box, but used Sandra's image because the idea of playing "blind" due to the random ideologies.

I can't say for sure. It should work if Millenium Dawn has the same ideologies as vanilla. But the one issue I can forsee is that the 7 major powers would have the vanilla national focus trees rather than Millenium Dawns trees.

I don't think the fact that you're on Mac should affect anything. The mod is fully installed and checked on? How long did you play? It should only take a few days to fire.

I do plan on adding an option for the player to remain their original ideology if they want. However, I don't think adding non-aligned would be good. The vanilla non-aligned is terrible, as they have all the penalties of a democracy, with none of the benefits. In addition, they don't join factions unless attacked, breaking the entire idea of the mod. As for the focus trees, I already did add AI logic for the focuses. If Japan is going their historical path, it's because you have historical national focuses on. As for Germany, they can't even go down the Oppose Hitler branch unless they're fascist, and that's from vanilla, so not sure what you're talking about.

I wasn't planning on it. As I've stated to others, I don't think the vanilla non-aligned are very interesting or even all that accurate for the countries it's supposed to represent.

I don't know if it is possible, but bypasssing and canceling focuses should be worked on. If a nation starts taking a focus to go down an ideology that isn't the one they are randomly assigned, the focus should be cancelled. Germany should bypass Oppose Hitler if they are democratic (or non-aligned if you ever add that). Japan is another example that gets screwed over. They will pick their historical focus first and then they are locked down the fascist path even if their ideology gets changed from fascism.

Do you think you could add an option to let your nation stay as the same ideology? You could just put it as a second option on the event for your nation to stay the same but make all others change. It would also be great if you could make a second version of the mod which allows non-aligned. (I know there is a mod that does that, but it is out of date)
