@Gallonidas

You can use stack mods to control how much a full inventory means. You can set your S+ gatherer to not collect wood. There are plenty of options for you if inventory is a problem.

I left the rate as-is because I was using this mod with the Steampunk mod, which uses ridiculous amounts of wood. If you want to take over the mod and develop it more, we can discuss that.

Is there a way to slow down the rate it generates wood? I mean, it's consuming all inventory space too fast. If I wanted more I'd simply plant a second or third one...

How about fungal wood? Can you make a version like that ?? Thanks!!

Is the seed a random drop or crafted?
SalmonCandle689 4. nov. 2019 kl. 19:01
how do you get the seed

@syntax42 you mentioned requests for crops, the tree one which produces sap instead of wood would be fantastic. Collecting sap is a serious pain and a crop plot solution would be really helpful.
Also, thanks for modding these up! I'm going to use the flowers/mushrooms and this one starting now.

@jaargo2000 not every mod has to do everything. There's already a mod that does much of what you've suggested. There are also many egg collector mods out there.

Can I adjust that less wood grows?

I agree that you plugged some holes, but the grinder doesn't pair well with the theme or purpose of your mod.

The grinder is late game and expensive. In the time it takes to gather and smelt all the materials for the grinder, you can gather more wood, thatch, and fiber than you would ever use.

I'd happy gather hundreds of silk in the swamp temple in Ragnarok if it meant I could have a source for my base under the lighthouse on the far side of the map. Even if it was just enough to fix my silk gear.

Angler gel for silk is not a fair trade, nor if rare mushroom for fungal wood.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I see your mods as a mid game solution. Early game, you harvest and gather. Mid game you farm as a form of early "automation". Late game you get the expensive stuff like a grinder and industrial forge and collector. Then, you take the spare stone and use it or grind it

does this seed produce thatch?
Zylli  [ophavsmand] 19. jan. 2019 kl. 18:01
@jaargo2000
The Structures Plus grinder can help you with all of those resources. It can make angler gel -> silk, cactus sap -> regular sap (and vice versa), wood -> thatch -> fiber, wood + mushroom -> fungal wood.

For eggs, a S+ collector easily solves your issue.

My original goal was to cover some gaps in mods that were overcomplicated, discontinued, or buggy for hard-to-get vital crop resources for end-game. I think with my three mods, I have done that.

Other things that might make for a good complimenting mods...

Silk trees or flowers
Small Maple Tree that slowly produce sap
FIberous Grass that produces fiber over time
Woody Grass like bamboo that makes thatch over time
Fungal wood tree from Aberation

If you are feeling adventurous in your designs, you could make a large crop plot with a bush in the middle and some small critters like dodos around it that produces meat and/or unfertalized eggs. Sort of a chicken coop without the maintainance nightmare of checking for eggs every 15 minutes before they despawn.

I'd also love to see a collection mod with all your gardening enhancements in one package. To help keep the mod count down.

@Kisston
Making crop plot mods like this is fairly easy. If you have any other requests for crops, let me know. I will try to make the cactus this week.

@Quellcrest
I am new to modding Ark and I don't plan on doing much. I just wanted a working and simple wood crop mod for my private server. That 16k wood per tree is only if you harvest it before it fills up to the 3k limit every ~3 hours.

It is very easy to farm 16k wood in an hour with a dino, so the amount isn't completely unreasonable.

@456
The tree was a default asset included in the game. It is purely coincidence that I used the same tree as another mod.
Kisston 14. jan. 2019 kl. 11:47
Loving that you are making these additional crops available, just makes sense that we should be able to plant our own trees ^_^. I do hope you continue to make more plantables (cactus next maybe? Would love a little barrel cactus in my lawn!) and maybe at the end a pack including all of them.
Quellcrest 13. jan. 2019 kl. 9:39
@456 There are dozens of stack mods that do nearly the exact same thing too. Who cares?

@Syntax42 Any chance for an ini config to tweak the amount of you wood you get? 16k a tree seems awfully high for me. Cheers.

P.S. Good job btw :)

@Gaza9422
I suggest gathering thatch with a pickaxe on a tree. Thatch isn't an end-game resource, and is easily produced in bulk in a grinder. Wood is always needed for producing gunpowder.
Real_name_hidden 13. jan. 2019 kl. 8:31
Will the exact same looks!
Real_name_hidden 13. jan. 2019 kl. 8:31
Syntax no need to be rude or get defensive all I am saying is there is another mod that does this!
Gaza9422 13. jan. 2019 kl. 2:24
can this produce thatch too?
Zylli  [ophavsmand] 12. jan. 2019 kl. 18:31
@456
If you're referring to "Resource Crops" (mod ID 700624475), that mod was discontinued. It also had a lot of other things in it that maybe some people don't want, including a somewhat complex system.

There are a lot of mods that do similar things. If this one doesn't do exactly what you want, feel free to look for (or make) another.
Real_name_hidden 12. jan. 2019 kl. 9:09
You know this has been done with techplots mod don't you....
QueenNuts 10. jan. 2019 kl. 17:31
Might have to try this looks sweet, Thanks for your time and mod:steamhappy:
