You can use stack mods to control how much a full inventory means. You can set your S+ gatherer to not collect wood. There are plenty of options for you if inventory is a problem.
I left the rate as-is because I was using this mod with the Steampunk mod, which uses ridiculous amounts of wood. If you want to take over the mod and develop it more, we can discuss that.
Also, thanks for modding these up! I'm going to use the flowers/mushrooms and this one starting now.

The grinder is late game and expensive. In the time it takes to gather and smelt all the materials for the grinder, you can gather more wood, thatch, and fiber than you would ever use.
I'd happy gather hundreds of silk in the swamp temple in Ragnarok if it meant I could have a source for my base under the lighthouse on the far side of the map. Even if it was just enough to fix my silk gear.
Angler gel for silk is not a fair trade, nor if rare mushroom for fungal wood.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I see your mods as a mid game solution. Early game, you harvest and gather. Mid game you farm as a form of early "automation". Late game you get the expensive stuff like a grinder and industrial forge and collector. Then, you take the spare stone and use it or grind it
