I want to have all the videos in the high quality standards, I record with since the 2018, as most of the older videos were either 720p or 1080p30 only.
Once my real life things are settled, I am renovating a house I have bought recently, I plan to re-record everything I had with the higher quality settings - and if the scenarios are working in the Definitive Edition, then even better.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
A great history lesson, beautiful maps, no bugs i'm aware of. Very satisfying to play. Lost a lot of my life while plaing this!
But at that point it does not matter much, because you have already an army of your own.
In the last mission they are probably the most useful, you can train them since the start, if you do not forget about it (just like me) that is.
Unless scripted you can not prevent it, but scripting may affect the AI functionality
Also on the second scenario the ally AI destroys it owns walls, is that normal? =p? The Yellow only destroys the ones near the goldmine, but the red ally destroys all there walls.
Second, I build 3 castles and 6 monks to defend my base against cyan knights. Meanwhile, go to imperial age and fully upgrade paladin. I build 2 trebuchets and a lot of paladins to attack cyan, my paladins crush cyan knights without doubt. This force can destroy cyan except its navy.
Then, there will be a massive purple army come to me, mainly champions and some huskarls, bombard cannons, trebuchets. I need more paladins to crush them, and fight back immediately, paladins and trebuchets again, but I think bombard cannons are better.
Finally, when cyan and purple are defeated, one has to build navy to fight against yellow. The rest of this mission is much easier.
The fifth mission is too easy if you survive the first attack and focus on navy.
I don't know why you ban Teutonic Knight in every mission. I never create them even if they are available.
If I wont count the first micro mission, the 5th mission is probably the easiest one, because all you need is to control water and the land attacks are almost non-existent.
The Bombard Cannons can not be saved, at least not on hard difficulty, even I send there units as 'cannon fodder' to get them out and with Ships blocking the Shallows, the AI is too smart to focus them down.
Anyway enjoyed the series, will be 'finished' in the upcoming weeks, thanks for the campaign.
Well the mission difficulty is also reflected by the each player's personal skill level.
If you are newcommer to average player, you will probably struggle on harder difficulties.
Of course you will be able to beat it, but it will take a long time - like here 6 hours.
I never spent more than the two hours on any map on the hard difficulty in AoE II.
Highest Hall and Rise of the Khmer took me two hours, but these are very long maps with alot of
objectives.
The most time I spent on a map is three hours in the Starcraft 1 map and I am no kidding, some of these maps are just that hard - MPQ Files/Custom Scripts/ETC.
That is what I do, I like to share these awesome projects people make, to shed at least some light on them, because not many know about these and pro players do not really care to show them of.
But sometimes it takes me longer to finish one 'campaign series', I have alot of things to cover across multiple games - covering stuff of what I feel like at the time.
BUT when I start something I always finish it.
Thanks for your campaign.
Because of this campaign,i know about the history of swiss Confederation.
Achieving independence is a hard work.I can't imagine this country the Swiss have faced so many difficulties before establishment.
How strong and brave people!
With every scenario I learn something new and it‘s true that the allies get to strong when playing on hard/hardest.
In my oppinion the last mission is easiest to win if you „turtle“ in the southern base, maybe protected by a castle. Maybe even abandon the other two bases in the beginning.
And Chen‘la: I checket out your Youtube canal and its amazing! It‘s fun to watch someone else playing my campaigns :)
My new project is a historic campaign about my hometown Bern. But it‘s work in progress - and sadly slow progress 11
But the last mission...Can you give some hints?
Only thing I would change is how strong your allies are, they make some of the scenarios a lot less challeging imo. For instance the scenario where your allies town centers have to remain standing else you lose.. I didn't even had to help them out because they were doing just fine. They were even pusing the enemy themselves (playing on hardest).
Are you currently working on a new campagin (or planning to)?
@hammister That should not be possible. Thank you for telling me.
@soulware123 Yes, just hit the subscribe button and you have the campaign in your game :)
@Lauran_98 Thanks for explaining ;)
Spoiler: The highlight for me was the beginning of the 5th mission, when in the last second suddenly the reinforcement arrives.
Possible minor bug: I completed mission 3 with a relic victory.
