@h3rb - thanks for playing. They Are Billions is supposed to be designed so that you cannot revert back to an old save file. This is the case for the official campaign, survival and custom maps. You can however "save scum" where you can manually make a back-up of your save file and then copy it back in if you want to go back. See here:

Is it possible to save during each scenario? I can't seem to find the option to save the game during gameplay. I would rather not have to start each scenario from scratch if I fail.

I just started playing TAB again after being off for about a year, and I loved playing through 28 years later while waiting for the campaign to come out. I was ecstatic when I saw your sequel 29 years later is in progress! Time to hop on and see what you've come up with!

I just finished 28 Years Later Campaign and it was awesome! Much better than official campaign. The heroes and the story, the whole drama - I like it a lot. Thank you for this great experience!

To give a bit of an update on 29 Years Later, I've been working 72 hours a week for the past few months and will be for a little while longer (normally I only work 37 hours). This is limiting my time/energy to make new maps, and I've also been trying to fit in a playthrough of the official campaign. But during my breaks at work I've been noting down ideas and I've now got 1000's of words of notes about where the story is going, new gameplay ideas and map designs.

I'm very excited to get started and I'm now confident I could do another 12 maps even without any of the new assets being added to the editor, but it would of course enrich the maps greatly to have some of the new decor etc. but for now I just need the free time to do so. I am at least getting a lot of the planning/custom assets together (even making the new custom world map takes time) so when I get to the map making part it should come together quite quickly.

@Keanu Reeves - the tech tree is not available in custom maps yet, however this custom campaign limits resources on the map such as iron and oil on the early maps so technology and advance units therefore can only be built in the later maps.

The Chinese and Spanish translations of 28 Years Later is now complete!

UPDATE ON THE SEQUEL, 29 YEARS LATER:

I have been working in the background on the story and gameplay ideas for 29 Years Later. It's shaping up to be another 12 map campaign with new gameplay mechanics and the story, which will continue from the ending of 28 Years Later (all endings are continued).

I'd like to get a lot of the work done in advance of releasing Phase 13 so that I can release a new map every 5 - 7 days, starting in Autumn 2019. I'll work on it over the summer whilst people enjoy the official campaign, after which there should be a lot of new content for the editor.

I'm hoping to release the translations and difficulties altogether in one map. Watch this space!

@Mia Ishata - the game devs said in their most recent update that you will not be able to save in a map, but progress between maps will be saved. So complete mission 1 and you can retry mission 2 over and over. You can "cheat" and "save scum" by basically going to where your quick saves are and making a backup of them. Then if you lose you just copy the backup back into the folder and you can resume from the last save. I don't do it personally but if you find the game frustrating this is something you could consider.

@Mia Ishata - I think any map should be approached with caution as you don't know what to expect - it'd be boring if they were all the same. I played 100 hours of TAB trying to get to 800% and never had anything really to tell me how to play the game, so I had to learn as I go. I think it would spoil the experience for the majority of maps or games in general if they told you exactly what to do right at the start. At least I included the hints to help on a repeat run :)

While i like these, i must admit some of those maps require you have knowledge of whats around the map. For Example Map 3 one of the game-over hints tells you, you can just set the to "Chase" to clear the map, while Map 2 you would have to be careful that one of the fat guys kill your kill squads or maybe even any of the important characters, turning this in abit of a trial and error as there is no save function for mid-game matches. No big deal, but abit frustrating to have to do everything twice :x

Great series of maps! These are all incredible, the last one was the craziest! I had a blast playing them. Love that you threw in some voice acting and music to add to the immersion. The 800% kensei edition on that last map was pretty tough, it took me a few tries! Looking forward to more of your work. Thumbs up, my dude.
