On Earth, Malachite is the term we use for copper ore. On Nirn, Malachite is the term for a green volcanic glass. Just like how on Earth, Ebony is a term for a kind of wood, while on Nirn Ebony is a term for a black volcanic glass. On Nirn, Corrundum is a term for a pliable orange metal, but on Earth, Corundum is not a term we use for anything, and the pliable orange metal we have that is similar to Nirn's Corundum we call Copper. That is why I used Corundum for Copper, and Malachite for Jade (although in hindsight, Orichalcum would make more sense for Jade).

In any case, Complete Crafting Overhaul makes this and my Circlets Overhaul mod entirely obsolete; if you want a more consistent and immersive crafting experience, I cannot recommend CCO highly enough. Seriously, it's awesome.

You know, it would make more sense for malachite to be what you use instead of copper, what with malachite being copper ore...

Nice mod! It's strange to see lack of this feature in the original game. Thanks :-)

Those features won't make it into this mod, but when I make my Circlets Overhaul mod, I'll be including Armored versions there. I've started editing the textures for it, but it may be a while before it's done and functional. Keep an eye out though, I'll be uploading it here as soon as it's done :)

Good thinking :D Glad it interests you, one day I will have to try my hand at mods but I've not tried before so no idea what to do or software to use etc lol! Fingers crossed..

Hm. That's an interesting idea. Maybe make a separate set of Armored Circlets out of different material, like Quicksilver instead of Silver, and Moonstone instead of Gold, and maybe, like, Dwarven metal instead of Corrundum? That would be interesting. I'll consider it :)

Could at some point you make circlets as light armour? I find some armour sets not too interesting and too covering, I know a circlet in reality wouldn't count for armour at all but this is a world of trolls and goblins so to speak :P None the less it would be nice to have a better looking set and get the "set bonuses" for perks still :D

I like these little mods, really things like this should have been in the game anyway! I was going to try and do this myself but you beat me to it :)

lol

I did make a mod like this, but never ever shared it... Guess my laziness payed off ;)

such a shame, thanks for answering, have a great day....
CallMeCal  [author] 23 Jul, 2013 @ 2:54pm
@Trigger: No, it does not. This mod does not require any DLC, and only deals with the Circlets in the core game.
Trigger 23 Jul, 2013 @ 10:16am
does this mod have the Aetherium crown as one of your circlets
