This Mod can be used as it is in RimWorld 1.4.X, and there is no problem other than the version notation of About.xml.

It seems someone picked this mod up to update it. This version hasn't been updated in almost a year.
Jaxx - pshoooo 2 ENE 2021 a las 10:00
very mixed response on compatibility with 1.2 it seems
calamity mod siren 20 NOV 2020 a las 11:25
Does anyone know if this is compatible with Save our Ships 2?
Redeye 12 NOV 2020 a las 10:22
its buggy on 1.2 can we do a refresh please?
hellosharkness 5 OCT 2020 a las 13:29
I use this and it works great on 1.2
BEE-YEEEEETCH 15 SEP 2020 a las 8:22
not working on 1.2
Taliesyn 6 SEP 2020 a las 12:10
@Sophist88 - Seems to work fine with Boats, but it is NOT compatible with Biomes - Islands, regardless of load order.
avka 15 AGO 2020 a las 11:26
works with 1.2 and with multiplayer
shane_357 12 AGO 2020 a las 4:27
Does this still work with 1.2?
Saucy Bagel 5 JUN 2020 a las 6:34
@baguda I could pilot a fishing boat over the impassable water so it seems to work.
Sophist88 4 JUN 2020 a las 8:57
How does this work with boats mod?
Planewalker 25 ABR 2020 a las 7:06
@JonnyJaap

It is a known issue, and is due to the way RW handles terrain; it is also why you can not remove "thick roof". (depth and height are only simulated; other layers don't exist in game per se)

In order for this to be fixed with this mod, the mod would have to store the previous depth value when building, and that is (although possible), to put it mildly, an arduous task.

An easy way to circumvent the depth issue is using devmode to set correct terrain type.

cheers

Love this mod, I think it may need updating to not use an old Modcheck version however?
Gniwii 9 MAR 2020 a las 15:45
In vanilla "deep water" is impassable but only found on a coast, while "chest deep water" just slows more than "shallow water".
nhatanh0475 4 MAR 2020 a las 7:54
@DMCurt In 1.0 Deep water can be pass since many drop off can occur on the deep water. But now thanks to the 1.1 update. Deepwater can no longer be passable. This mod up-to-date for anyone want to make pawn walk slower in (sallow) water.
DMCurt 3 MAR 2020 a las 17:14
I feel like I'm missing something here. According to the rimworld wiki, deep water is already impassible in vanilla, and shallow water has a movement speed of 30%.
Does this mod then not touch deep water, and only makes shallow water slower?
JonnyJaap 28 FEB 2020 a las 8:24
*chest deep water.
I noticed it on my playthough, so started a new game with only this mod, to be sure that it is not a problem between mods.
JonnyJaap 28 FEB 2020 a las 8:23
[Bug report] There is a bug, where when you build an bridge over deep water, and the bridge get's removed/destreyed, the former deep water becomes normal ground.

Don't know if it is possiable to fix this, when the deep water is handled as an wall.
l0rf 27 FEB 2020 a las 9:19
Hey, thanks for the update!
ornith 22 ENE 2020 a las 6:38
Weird interaction with water deep enough to be affected under a rock roof, and Heat Map: it shows the affected areas as if they are rooms.
Scrampy 17 ENE 2020 a las 11:18
Nomadic more like No-Man-Dick i'm so funny gamers
Clalia 2 ENE 2020 a las 1:48
what if the only way to get over deep water is to remove armor and maybe clothing so they can swim. its not likely to be possible to get over water irl while wearing heavy clothing, armor or clothing that get heavy in water like boots.
Ornias 22 DIC 2019 a las 16:32
Does this also apply to other deep water such as ocean? For some reason oceans became passable on my save and I don't know why.
Unex 11 OCT 2019 a las 7:37
Found a thing: Chest deep water counts as "Indoors" so if a river flows under a mountain it will allow "infestation" event to happen in those spots.
Billy 30 JUL 2019 a las 0:24
Nomadic and Arcade are very lame, but besides that I love your mods! Please keep up the great work. :cleanfloppy:
Eclipse 19 JUN 2019 a las 11:53
Shallow water walk speed reduction percentage with that mod?
Arcade Dan 23 MAY 2019 a las 15:18
The old, "I'll answer a question with a question" trick. Nice trolling, you got me there.
Legion 23 MAY 2019 a las 14:23
I could ask you the exact same thing. Perhaps makes sure you're in a proper position before trying to ride the big boy horsies, Dan.
Arcade Dan 23 MAY 2019 a las 0:27
Like who cares? He let the author know about it. Yet you're very anal about it. Grow up, there are less trivial things to be mad about
Arcade Dan 23 MAY 2019 a las 0:26
@Nomadic Why do you have a stick up your ass?
Legion 16 MAY 2019 a las 19:39
*yawn* Still not much of an excuse. Rather, still not an excuse. Dude can message MA and people will find it when searching for alternatives.

The world is a wonderous place where competence in folks like you seem to wander off. Get over it.
Malikyte 15 MAY 2019 a las 21:27
@Nomadic - He had the courtesy to let the mod author know he modified and reuploaded his mod, which is more than a lot of people do. Lay off.
Charonx 19 ABR 2019 a las 4:10
Is it compatible with the Permafrost Mod that causes Water/Rivers to freeze during winter? https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1540322147
Legion 9 MAR 2019 a las 15:34
Despite not being stated, did you request to publish an altered version of the mod? That said as well, posting YOUR modified mod isn't the best thing to do on the actual mod page.
Vambypants 6 MAR 2019 a las 3:37
I uploaded a modified version I use for myself, shallow moving water is set to 25% moves speed

https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1674624795
Legion 5 MAR 2019 a las 15:58
Have you tried dev spawning in items on it?
Natt4 5 MAR 2019 a las 15:52
I'm not sure if you have programmed this not to happen but can a orbital trade goods fall into the chest deep water?
Legion 1 MAR 2019 a las 12:43
Not sure if anyone else has bothered trying, but I can see about taking a look myself. I can get back to you afterwards, just not sure how long it'll take me to figure out.
Jin-Jin 1 MAR 2019 a las 11:53
That's reasonable -- I just don't know how, lol :JinK:
Legion 28 FEB 2019 a las 16:01
Why not go into the mod files yourself and adjust it to your personal tastes?
Jin-Jin 28 FEB 2019 a las 7:45
I adore the concept and it's huge for water to actually be useful strategically. But could we maybe get an alternate version that doesn't nerf the walk speed to 6%? Like 25%?

Nerfing movement speed is 100% fine for me but it seems a bit TOO harsh. Especially if the colonist is naked or something, lol
Bloop 27 FEB 2019 a las 11:48
Keep in mind most of the time you colonist are toting around with rifles, clothes, armor, and whatnot while they go about their business. Ever tried to swim through a river wearing a parka and having a minigun strapped to your back? Same issue applies for raiders
Legion 26 FEB 2019 a las 9:25
This is what bridges are for. The walk speed is fine.
lilwhitemouse 22 FEB 2019 a las 16:44
I suppose we think of "shallow water" as actually being chest-deep, eh?
Dartonal 20 FEB 2019 a las 18:50
Love the idea, but the movement speed debuff for shallow water is far too much, would be more apt for chest deep water. Maybe add customization options
Verlux 17 FEB 2019 a las 8:22
Maybe tone down the shallow water's walk speed nerf?
Ferd Terguson 16 FEB 2019 a las 4:49
"...and reduces the walk speed of shallow water." Bit of an understatement. I like the concept, but 6% walk speed in shallow water is a bit ridiculous. Would stay subscribed if there were customization options.
Lasket 22 ENE 2019 a las 11:16
@Buttio Mashuina Just checked, is outdated (SS Raiders can Swim -> 0.18).
Lasket 22 ENE 2019 a las 11:13
@buttio Mashuina already exists, but unsure if 1.0 compatible
