@killwithnomercyyaha Unfortunately the game sees it as an intersection when you change from one road type to another, traffic lights are required except with the 2+2 version which I've made 2 roads for.

Amazing set of roads but it's a shame that I can't make intersections without the blue boxes using the 3+2, 4+2, and 5+2 roads. I tried to put 5+2 roads on all four directions but the blue boxes kept appearing. Nice work tho.

Just stumbled over this amazing bundle, great job!
Nice to finally see, seemingly the only 5+2 roads in C:S.. I have managed to learn the technique on how to avoid the blue glitches in intersections.

However, I am a bit concerned over the placing of bus stops as read down below. I've been working with the roads and it would be nice to see bus stops to be placed just after the intersection and just after where the B types intersections have their lane for right turn (RHD). You can place bus stops there at the moment, however buses will make a 45 degree angle from the outer lane on the bike lane and the crossings, which seem a bit unrealistic.

I would fix this myself if I could but I have no experience in the road editor whatsoever and my game crashes everytime I try to go in there...

These look in the preview like they'd be great, but unfortunately when I tried to actually use them they always seemed to just glitch everywhere, not make nice intersections, etc :(

Wow, Christmas came early this year! Thanks :D Looking forward to placing it in my city..

@penguin I added a 2+2 bike lane bus stop that can also be used as a 2+2b

@ranazomic Added 2+2 bike lane bus stop to workshop

can you please make a texture for bus stops? right now the road become blue when placing a bus stop on it
Penguin 26 May, 2019 @ 7:09am
These are great, just a shame they're so tricky to place correctly - might be more the game's fault though. Another thing to be aware of is that bus stops, stops for evacuation routes, etc. also causes some of these to turn blue. Beside stops, the only thing I been missing is a 3+2 B with a right turn lane inside of a left (for T-intersections)...

I played around with the roads and found a solution that allows placing stop signs instead of forcing traffic lights in order to render the intersection correctly. It's probably not be the best solution, but it's working for me and I wanted to share to get your thoughts.

I opened one of your roads in the road editor and did the following:
1. Add node - import from Large Road Basic, set Flags Required = CustomTrafficLights
2. On RoadLargeSegment (under Nodes still), change Flags Forbidden = Traffic Lights, CustomTrafficLights, and Bend.

Like I said, probably not the cleanest solution, but it works for me. Also, the Bend forbidden flag took care of an issue where it looked like some concrete thing was appearing in the roadway when transitioning between two 5 +2 lane segments (two incoming & 5 outgoing LLFFR lanes) when the road is drawn a particular way.

@Ryannayr140 have you looked at the mass transit asymmetric roads as an example of how to set transition nodes? those are a good start if you're having difficulty - i know there are limitations but they still do work
Ryannayr140  [author] 19 Dec, 2018 @ 8:59pm
@deliverer7 The conditions that determine which node appears IE "transition" "intersection" do not function correctly. The game just sees any road change as an intersection. The only way to separate this was to use things like traffic lights. There are other options that would work but would require complex instructions that half of people wouldn't read. These roads are designed to be used with traffic lights and you just typically don't see them in real life without traffic lights. The exception to this is the 2+2 which I have made a separate road for that allows no traffic lights.

Would love it even more if there was a version that was compatible with non-traffic light intersections (i.e., stop signs).
FeralNerd 16 Dec, 2018 @ 3:08pm
I love you. These are great!!

yeah, flip the mesh in the editor (and reverse normals if you have any) and import that in and set flag required as inverse and set RHD mesh forbidden flag as inverse.

um the devs do account for flipping nodes... you need to create a flipped version and then flag the correct ones with required inverse or forbidden inverse.
Don't spread misinformation. It's doable
