Not completley sure what you mean by a "hard" incompatibility?
The mod has been written with isolated definitions so as to not conflict with vanilla and by using its own definitions will ideally not conflict with other mods, even other floor mods. It does use Vanilla "base" definitions or adopts parent characteristics, but this is the standard process when defining items. I don't change anything in vanilla as a result.
The only likely incompatability would be if "another" mod deliberatley went through the parent vanilla base definitions and changed those characteristics which then had a "knock on" effect to this and other mods. (But this is considered "taboo" practice in modding).
Added some more designs: Bamboo, Burlap, Carbon, Hazard, Leather and Urban. (See above).
(This provides 19 designs for Rimoleum flooring, so will pause at this point to try and keep sensible numbers for use in the recipe listings).
Rimoleum flooring will now appear in a new Rimoleum tab of the architect menu to keep things tidier.
That error should be corrected now.
Sorry that fell through the testing process, I use mods that amalgamate research projects into one big tree and does away with the use of tabs.

could this be caused by using research tree mod?
You'll have to be more specific.
Are you getting error messages? Have you researched the use of Rimoleum? Have you done this but perhaps not having the right ingrediants within range of the biofuel reactor? Do you have someone with sufficient skill to make the recipes (intellectual) and/or perform the floor constructions (4 Construction)?
