It can be within years, and because the game only checks to spawn a crisis once every 5 years it can be decades. That said, I've not updated to 3.4 yet, don't have a lot of time not sure if Paradox changed the crisis code again.

I've got the contingency, but the other two haven't spawned yet. Are they supposed to all happen at once, or can it be within a few years?

Updated to 3.3. Still overwrites crisis_trigger_events so still incompatible with others mods that do that, I don't have the time to figure out and make compatibility fixes. I made this mod for myself and friends, but am posting it for the public to use if you like.

in my experience this works fine for 2.3 - i have not tried for 2.5, but the description on how the mod works sugggests that it should work fine for 2.5

Never mind, checked the wiki and i am only 52 years into the end game, so they have only been able to spawn for 2 years

So i don't know if it is chance or what, but end game crises don't seem to be occuring with this mod. There is a war in heaven going on so i don't know if that is blocking it or what

Yes, it should work with games in progress, it might take a decade or several for other crises to spawn depending on the modifiers and your luck with RNG. The game checks every 5 years whether to trigger a crisis and which one, and it's percentage based depending on different weight modifiers.

Will this mod work with games that are already in progress? Because I realized that I've run into the 'bugged Prethoryn don't take planets' issue and my previously great, fun game is about to peter out like a wet fart. If I could get one of the other crises to activate, the situation would be salvagable!

Since the swarm is bugged in the current version (they can't take planets) this mod should ensure I'll get at least one working/challenging crisis?

Makes it possible for all 3 to spawn, which in a way is a guarantee unless you never get jump drives. The way it works exactly can be found here: https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Crisis#Crisis_triggers

The only difference with the mod is that it'll keep doing the weight check even after a crisis has spawned, but the weight is locked to 0 for every crisis that already appeared, so you can get all 3 but not a repeat of any.

If you want a mod that guarantees they'll all spawn at the same time (or a specific time) that's a different story, but shouldn't be too hard to make.

It'll work with 2.2.1. It'll probably work with whatever patch introduced synthetic dawn and the contingency crisis too, tbh, the crisis trigger file is small and hasn't been changed often.

Good catch. Initially, I've removed the fact that each crisis upon triggering sets the galactic_crisis_happened global flag and added their own. Then later realised they have subsequent events that also set that flag for whatever reason, so I've removed the check for it, but haven't returned the fact that they set it.

I've pushed a fix now so the flag is still set whenever any of the crises appear so the FEs should still awaken as appropriate. Until now, it should have still happened at other stages of the crises, because as I've said, the flag is also set by some events, but had no chance of triggering at the very start. Thanks.

How does this interact with the Guardian of the Galaxy fallen empire awakening? From looking at the fallen_empire_awakening_events.txt, the guardian fallen empire waking up seems to rely on the "galactic_crisis_happened" global flag that you've replaced in this mod.

I just finished testing today, all 3 crises spawned and were active but it took a while due to different requirements.

Prethoryn are bugged right now, they do expand and take systems but can't turn planets into infested worlds, so they're not as dangerous. This isn't due to the mod, 2.2 update broke them. Unbidden and Contingency seem to work fine.

The nanobots crisis comes from the L-gates and could always have happened simultaneously with the others, you just need to proc it at the right time and get lucky, there's 3 other possible outcomes from the L-gates. End of the Cycle also shouldn't disable the standard 3 crises, but I have to doublecheck that.

Hope this works, fingers crossed. Some mods let all 3 crises to happen but one at a time. I WANT CONTINGENCY VS SCOURGE...then...UNBIDDEN ARRIVE CAUSE F**K THE GALAXY.
Does the nanobots crises and End of the Cycle come under these at all, out of curiosity?
