Dear author, does this mod remove the power differential limit between empires for declaring a vassalization war?
If not, could you please tell me how to remove these restrictions?

This mod is so needed, yet is dead.

Hey MVG, I'd like to report a bug. Seems like this mod breaks the vassalization limitations during wartime. Had a situation in which multiple allied empires declared on me, and as soon as I crushed one of those empires' fleets and occupied their worlds, they were vassalized by another empire and taken out of the war. One of my allies had been fully occupied and I could offer to make them a protectorate in the middle of the war, so I used that scenario to narrow down which mod was causing it until I hit with this one.
Just an FYI.

Yep, I looked in the files for both this mod and StarNet's Friendship Patch. The StarNet Friendship Patch has its own values for vassalization and protectorate acceptance in its defines. I'm just overwriting those with your values now. Thanks for the response!

So after testing, there's good news and there's bad news!

It turns out this mod is not incompatible with StarNet. The empire population reasons for vassalization are still positive when using only StarNet.

However, intriguingly enough, it turns out that this mod is incompatible with StarNet's Friendship Patch. When I have that turned on, the vassalization reasons for acceptance return to normal.

Hi, I haven't worked on this mod for a very long time, but if memory serves me correctly no restart on the current game is needed for the effects to be seen. I would recommend running the mod on its own first with your current game to see if you notice a change, if you do it might point to another mod overriding the same files.

I have a feeling StarNet AI mod might be the cause, but that's just a guess.

I turned on this mod in the middle of my games, and it's having no effect on the number of reasons for vassalization, even though I'm looking to vassalize a country with only one-third my population and Pathetic relative power.

Do I need to start a new game for this mod to function properly? And also, should this mod have any compatibility issues? The only mods I'm using that I imagine could possibly affect this are StarNet AI and Real Space.

Just so you know, I've been trying to find a the mod that's been canceling out the Vassaltion of other countries and I think it's yours. I kept being asked by countries early on to vasselize and then when i would ask, it would say they declined and then it would say I "have" and "dont have" the war requirements all at the same time. It was a real pain in the ass for me so if anyone else finds this issue this is the one. Anyway, hope misadventuresVG finds the solution cuz i'd really like to try it out.

Thanks @MisadventuresVG

Mod as been updated for 2.3.*.

Thank you for your support.
Celepito 17 Jun, 2019 @ 10:53am
Still seems to work fine in 2.3, at least as far as I can tell.
BasileusofRhomania 8 Jun, 2019 @ 11:21am
Is it compatible with 2.3?
AncientGatekeeper 4 Jan, 2019 @ 1:28pm
This is definitely going into my current modpack playthrough. Thank you for this!

I'm kind of hoping they will... and I hope it will drive free nations to ally with me on the way. ;)
Thanks.

Short answer, yes, changes are to the base defines values so they should also apply to the AI equally as well. So be careful, AI potentially can vassalisation other empires easily if they get a head in power early on.
Tuxu -=JeepC=- 30 Dec, 2018 @ 2:11pm
These rules also applies to the AI?
JenkoRun 19 Dec, 2018 @ 10:22am
How does this compare to Vassalization Rebalance by Sumrex?
PROBABILITYOFSUCCESSZERO  [author] 14 Dec, 2018 @ 11:24am
I have just tweaked mod to set the distance factor back to default, it was including far to many empires as being open to vassalisation. By dialing it back empires with need to expand to get much closer physical in terms of borders and also spend some time smoothing potential vassals into liking them before vassalisation is an option.

I've been playing quite a bit with this mod and I have discovered a few bits to my mod that I think need a bit of tweaking. I will be working on an amendment over the weekend so don't be surprise if a update drops.
Bleiser 9 Dec, 2018 @ 10:40am
Thanks a lot! Really needed as previous mod that I was using wasn't updated for 2 years.
Pode 9 Dec, 2018 @ 9:47am
I like that you label it logical. I get why pdox made things the other way for game balance to prevent snowballing, but it makes zero sense.
