The only alternative is using AutoHotkey. It's free and great. That's what I do for multiplayer.

As you hear from a lot of people, Stellaris seems to have taken a strange development since 2.0.
... In fact, it seems as if *ALL* or at least most of the Function Hotkeys have been messed about. Please restore them to their normal order, as per the above list!
It is not possible to mod customizable hotkeys. If it was, it would've been done years ago.
I'd also thinking of writing a mod to add a hotkey rebind menu to the game somehow. Would that be possible at all?
I dont remember at which point they took that away. But i really miss that hotkey.
Was your game bugged? Or were you playing multiplayer?
Unzip the folder into Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod and edit the .txt file inside. It's pretty straightforward.
It seems I can't overwrite F11, but F12 works for me, I moved sectors there.
Let's put leaders to F5 then? Close to research on F4, would make sense, right?
@Mauci it's in defines. You can just open my mod and copy the file from there.
