Models look Awsome, during these times of Self-Isolation, it will help me cross a bridge to my WH Buddy,
One minor 'mistake', Base of the Boomdakka Snasswagon seems disformed (bigger and rounder).
Still playable though And i thank you for the work you put in this.
Sincerely, A fellow 40K Hobbyist

@nomadicus Im no expert at this literally have 3 weeks of experience with this.

But If you were to try taking your own pictures and scans I would def suggest taking it at a single angle 360" with atleast 48 pictures. you'll have the best success that way.

additionally agisoft offers a limited time trail for both their versions.

Oh ok. So if I had the "light" version of the program and was taking my own pictures I could have enough success just by taking enough photos, even without the markers? (Cuz it is a HUGE difference in price for the software haha)

@Nomadicus Markers are less important for 1angle with a 48 picture turn around for models like the buggies which are boxier in nature and small models like sly marbo fig I did.

It becomes more important when it comes to more complex shapes like a castellan robot for example. Those are 4 angles x 12 pictures so it becomes alot harder for the software to recognize which angles are where in relation to a 3d model. You'll get a jumble mess if you run the program with just type of particular cases.

the markers basically helps identify the ups/down left and rights of the model so it has a point of reference when scanning.

May I ask what difference the markers make?

Think you can pm me any tutorial you have for this or give me notes on how you did it please?

ATM I am using the pro version, the basic version doesn't have markers.

@shadowtrinity Bless you because now I can try to also upload some models. Do I need the pro version or just the basic?

@conquest Took me about a day to really learn (with some help from some people) But I downloaded all 48 images from gw's 360" turn around of the model.

Uploaded them to software Im using agisoft pro (mainly cause this is the one the person who taught me is using)

then I remove the white borders and depending on the model at markers to help the program stitch them together

Nicely done! How does anyone scan these into Tabletop sim if you don't mind me asking?
