For a "Wholesome SPD-Ruled World", the SPD incited riots across the Rhine in the Kaiserreich universe, destroyed symbols of Imperial Germany in the real world (even openly supported the destruction of a statue of Wilhelm II near my city), and are partially-integrated into Terrorist circles that existed in the Kaiserreich universe.

Because the original devs that made and wrote a mod actually have a future in programming or developing actual video games because they are talented. However, they lose passion or get burnt out on their mod and quit (in most cases).
Whereas the dev team the og dev grows to continue making their mod are all untalented hacks that can't develop anything but a hoi4 mod (if even that), and the previously mentioned people tend to be:
Untalented, cling onto any power they have (because of overwhelming crippling insecurity and/or mental illness that prevents them from being productive in any aspect of life), and likely subscribe to the Gramcian idea that all culture and entertainment must be used as a vessel to propagate marxist values to bring about muh commie vanguard.
