My 'hero' can just stay put and I let a few rangers run to the Inn. With that I can win the map. Maze map, but the loop-hole ruins it.

@MerlinCross you have to take your time on the right path. I sent the Lucifer ahead since he's really good at tanking and had no issues.

Loved it. As I noticed the timer ticking, or times where I got cornered... I pulled a 'fuck it' moment, left a man behind to distract the undead whilst my main boys pegged it out to safer walk ways... Near the end (I didn't realise how close I was to the escape point), the horde had become active.

I was like OOOOHHH no xD ... Left a few men behind to fight off the undead (I was near the pylon looking things as the undead chased at me), only a soldier and maybe 1-2 archers survived. Heart pounding moment. When I saw the turrets and defenders I was well chuffed. Though a tad disappointed it ended there.

I was hoping that would be a temporary defend point, where they were there to distract the undead whilst I kept trying to run forward. Regardless, good map.

Agh. So this is pretty nice but have 2 complaints.

1) The first infected town has WAY too many zombies to easily cut through, and I just end up wasting time. Yeah I know I'm not supposed to kill all the buildings but you can't seem to make progress without blowing up 1-2. Maybe more.

2) At the second infected town(The one with the second market I think), I went right. It was an easier cut through the town rather than fighting past most of it. But eventually I hit a problem. Yeah what's up with the WALL of Harpies on that path? There's just no hope on that path.

Interesting ideas, but the cheapness of some of the encounters prevents me from higher rating.

Easy map (beat it on first try), like the intro to your campain (Loved the Starcraft'ish Events). Looking forward to seeing more!

i think the titan is just off the map or by the inn ive been everywhere on the map other than past the rangers that end the game.

i ve checked something:
1. If you receive mayor to enchance energy transfer radius to CC you can build soldier center near your CC.
2. map is really ez while your second mayor gives you free lucifer.
3. dont use way on rigth side of the map, there is past the way with 2 snipers.
4. i didnt found a titan and im curious where is he.

I think the right path you are talking about has to be the correct one and you're just mistaking it for a dead end. It does get very narrow and cluttered in places so it's a bit deceptive. Hitting your middle mouse button to turn on flat view might help you pick out the pathways. You could also probably just move command your units to the other side of the downed bridge and they might find the way on their own. But, just to be clear, it's the very first right turn as you come back down from the broken bridge; right at the northern-most of those electrical towers.

Or you could wait and watch the YouTube vid I'll be uploading of it but I won't have time to do so until this weekend.

I went past the gigant exacly to the north of him and you see two paths one to the left which is the one with thr fallen bridge and the right one which was a dead end (i was checking for about a minute) for me so i thought I had to go save thee soldiers but i failed that soo idk how am i supposted to win, idk let me know if that right path si supposted to be open

You have to go past the giant; the other path is an endless horde. Getting past the giant is very easy if you just distract him ;)

The borken bridge after the giant? You have to backtrack to the giant's area and skirt just north of him to the east. If you just keep to the east as you are returning south from the bridge you will find it.

I'm so confused with this one. I've tried several times. But I get to where the Inn ruins are at, find the broken bridge, and can't find the path around. I feel like I've gone all over the place looking for it. Any help? Am I missing something that obvious?

i did played this (first 3 episodes) and what i can say for this one is that i tried it like 6 times and i haven t beaten it. it took 4 tries to find the right way and two tries to get past the gigant which i think wasn t needed. anyway i did n t get past the gigant beacuse when i played (1 day of the launch of the editor itself) i could not get past any other way but to the soldier center which i couldn t do and if there was no pass that way i thougt there was no pass at all and i quited
idk if this issue was fixed but if it was please let me know

I'd enjoy it more if taking the eastern path was possible. As it is, if you go west, you win easily, but if you go east, you find the horde and try to fight, thinking it has an end, and either die or waste too much time. I'd rather there were a finite number and maybe, at the fork, a message says there's a giant to the west and a horde to the east. Then the player could choose which challenge they want to try. Or else, at least give a message when they trigger the horde telling them it is endless, so they can know to flee.

Also, it would make a lot more sense if the approaching horde came after your hero, instead of the command center. But maybe the editor doesn't allow them to target a unit? It would also be awesome if you could build! It would make the map far more dynamic if you could build defenses to slow the horde while your troops try to complete their journey!

Anyway, thanks for making this. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series =)

Finally won it. Finding the right path took a few tries but I got there in the end. :) Really had to fight my instinct to kill them all and just run.

i have try many times and i have arrived at the northern and find the inn but it not win.

and i try to modify the game rule , i find some place it can't , the road is impassable.

however it's very interesting

Hi Chocolate, there is a passage around the Giant if you don't have enough soldiers to defeat it. Go eastwards, this was an idea that seems to not be working out as intended. I think I'll update it accordingly and remove the straglers.

im not sure how your supposed to get past the giant all the zombies make it impossible to sneak around tried kiting it but there are so many buildings that i had to sacrifice all my units to get around it only saving my sniper and 2 marines idk if i did something horridly wrong or something just seem impossible to bypass

nice map, but something is wrong with the win conditions and/or narratives + encounters. i made it to the final zone with the "leader" ranger, and several other units. nothing happened.

is it possible that when loading a savegame, something gets messed up with the script? i noticed when doing save&exit, then loading the savegame, i get no more message popups. the encounter in the bottom right area for example, doesn't happen anymore.

AKM, Oh wait! You mean where the Titan is located? Yeah, it's by the first swarm spawn point in the woods. SE corner. I had to update the version as the map calculates mountains and filled in the path without my knowledge.

bill nye :GpK, I might try that, but since the game was more meant for tower defense than story telling, trying to minimize any dialogue. Still it's a neat idea. I might expand a little in ep 5.

For area clearing notification, there's two ways to do that, either give all zombies a custome ID and checking to see if its dead, or spawning a specific type of zombie and checkign if there ar none of that type on the map. I'm not sure if the former works, but there's a way the developers have set up with variables and flags.

A lot of potential for depth for somethign as simple as a zombie kill'em all. pretty impressive.

AKM, I don't recommend capturing anything, just get to the Inn. There's not enough resources or time to try to defend against the last wave.

A few suggestions which im not even sure are possible... i have yet to mess around with map editor (not suggesting all of these even for this map but for future projects). Completely remove the time restraint to promote further exploration. Add more random events and text when someone explores alot (easter eggs/new story content). Is it possible to have text if certain areas are cleared of zombies? I just really liked the campaign aspect and like how you have started to take that on, keep it up.

You just need to get one unit to the gates to the area with the Inn in the top North. You'll see a minimap icon for it.

bill nye :GpK, reuploaded after adjusting the win condition location and size. It worked with a test ranger walking through the gates. Not sure what happened that it broke. But any bugs please let me know, certainly for me that this works for all us fans of this game.

Made it to the end with my "main character" and other troops and the win condition never triggered. Waited until the time ran out and nothing happened. eventually the "horde" attacked my initial village killed everything there and it said I lost. Sounds like a simple fix. This map was a ton of fun and i look forward to playing the rest of the series

Narrator, that's surely my lack of map design tallent there. I was hoping to set up a scene where you can use an archer to kite it out of the way, but clearly needs work. Not sure how to get that functional.

I met the giant and killed it. It was stuck behind a small ravine while I ran for my life from it. And then just outranged it with everything I had. It was also hostile from the get go, probably because one of my soldiers shot a small zombie. There was no sneaking past it, for me.

Hi, I have a little issue with the map at the start: the game give to me some archers in the north of the map and if you move them they activate the trigger to win the map

Sadly, the way the map works when building at the edges, i would have to redesign the map to get it to function with the townhall at the north, so I added defenses to the walls to stop strays from ending the game except for the final spawn.
