@Salomon It would be possible. The wild version of the Kelp plant is fully aquatic, and when domesticated by the player, they put it in a tank for convenience. I'll think about such an alternative if I get around to making an update.

Would it be possible to create a small kelp option without the tank?
I like to grow sea plants on the ship when I play Hylotl, so it would be awesome if I could grow kelp alongside Coralcreep and Reefpod.

@Zahrah When I tested it, it sounded fine, just as I expected it to function. I used the same simple line of code for sound-emitting objects that did work. Is anyone else really hearing static instead of a subtle tune?

It's probably because it sounds like a game bug and people have just been ignoring it.

@Zahrah No, I haven't understood configurable settings stuff like that. I guess it sounds like static if you make your volume quiet enough. I can't believe after 4 years someone actually found and talked about it.

Is there a way to disable it? I know it's fun for you, but when I originally heard it, I thought the sound bugged and I rebooted the game. I only found out it was the oranges because I was moving my crops. It just sounds like a bunch of static to me.

@Zahrah It sounds like that because I made it quiet enough to be subtle, but still noticeable. I hope it's not actual static, because that would be a real problem, and a mystery. Neither Starbound or this mod's code has been changed in the last 4 years, so in theory there shouldn't be any real problems.

Is anyone else having issues with the oranges being noisy? There's a static noise coming from them.

@ゼロ I don't, but there are other mods that add mushroom crops. For example, and not to just self-plug, my mod Craftable Seeds NEW adds a growable mushroom crop along with other unobtainable crops like the flowers and the Thorn Fruit, with the option to craft them and the vanilla crops.

mushroom trees are huge and they also always drop only one sapling

@Pumpkin Kid Streams You should be able to find wild versions on the Ocean floor, buy them from Terramart, or "buy" them from the Tabula Rasa, if you have one.

@ Magebrawler Aura there is. Go to Toxic planets and wander the ocean floor (have a bunch of poison antidotes handy) Harvest the toxic kelp there... You'll get toxic kelp seedlings (and normal kelp). These will grow on land (for some strange reason).
