robmerlo 2 Mar, 2024 @ 11:00pm
so sorry i completely deleted the whole scenario both in workshop and the main folder absolutely no improvement goes straight into total wheel slip to the extent it jams to a complete stop even if i get it to unloading it goes into jitta bug preventing the unload as constantly moving
robmerlo 2 Mar, 2024 @ 10:44pm
Sorry my friend impossible to complete this one as soon as you try to shunt loco goes into wheel slip to the extent it would stop dead then when trying to unload it would goes into jiita bug constantly moving and preventing unloading have tried clearing cache uninstalling andf reinstal

FYI to all, I'm going to upload a shortened version of this scenario soon. Won't be as long as this current version but I have noticed with each new version of TS some of these old scenarios get buggy/broken. This scenario will remain on the workshop, just going to add the shorter one to the series. :)

Looking through the comments it looked like a lot of players had a wheel slip, I do not remember having that issue, I might have to play this one and see...thanks Bruce. :)

Could not finish this scenario. Engine under 8 MPH when applying throttle the AMPS would go way up causing wheel slip. Had to pulse throttle. But could not unload all wagons. Had problem when at unload facility the wagons would rock back and forth when stopped thus not allowing me to unload. Applied handbrakes, loco, and auto brake. Did not help.

Yes, I just think the plant might not need as much coal that often so no need for a longer unloading track. Just a guess.

Nice one there... seemed a lot daunting.. going back and forth.. wonder why don't they have a longer unloading bay.. would save so much time... was dreading unloading the last 12 cars when suddenly thanks to you, the scenario was completed.. :steamhappy: it was becoming a bit tedious.. oh yes, even i had the wheel slip issues even when i was only applying notch 1 power to empty cars in the beginning.. but over time it disappeared.. was wondering if there was a bug.. all handbrakes were off from the cars..

Very good scenario. Quite a challenge controlling those heavy wagons on the slopes, but most enjoyable.
Thanks again RB, Cheers, Warren.

Hmm, didnt have that problem, make sure wagons dont have handbrakes applied when moving them. also when unloading i apply a handbrake to a single wagon.

Re-downloaded. Physics FUBAR. using 64bit. TS bug?
rheitzman 30 Nov, 2018 @ 3:25pm
Couldn't operate engine at the bottom of the grade - near infinte wheel splip, brakes not working when standing still at chute with 0% grade

Better if you first run the TS. Click on Drive menu and Workshop tab. Open Steam overlay and upper right corner there the Workshop. Open it and search scenarios here. Subscribe and go back to the game and wait while download the scenario. If done subscribe another one. So all scenarios will be downloaded well.

The workshop download software may damage the download files. Sometimes this is very serious, but in other cases it is still playable. It may happen that the scenario type is corrupt. In this case it may run as freeroam (probably this is the default if the scenario type is not recognized properly). Solution is to go to the scenario editor in the build tab and delete the scenario. It will be installed again when you restart TS.

Good, wonder why. I have had a few show up in Free room in the past.

Very good, makes interesting work on the grade.thanks RBJ
RBJets  [author] 4 Nov, 2018 @ 6:06am
Thanks, I use the handbrakes on the wagons when unloading , I dont know why it shows up there.
chris5012 4 Nov, 2018 @ 1:13am
Very good scenario again with serious challenges controlling the heavy wagons on the steep gradients. One thing, the scenario shows up under "Free Roam" not "Standard" as has been the case up to now.
