I think the best way of resurrecting this mod would be by opening a discord for it, and getting a couple of MTG fanatics on to pool some resources.
I've got 1000s of ship names sitting in files, but I'm just not on strong enough medication to implement them, and yeoldeknight is as he said busy in university, and i'm sure he's doing a great job on it aha
Its an awesome mod, maybe a update in the future and perhaps adding more Destroyer names
Expect:
88 name constellation class for every nation + other stellar nomenclature.
Kreigsmarine/Kaisermarine/Bundesmarine expansion
Royal Navy historical/alt history expansion, and porting of all applicable names to all commonwealth countries.
Regina Marina expansion, especially in the form of hundreds of latin names for endless Roman fleets making the every ocean one gigantic peaceful sea.
Large FAS/DEM/COM/NEU expansion for Francophone/Hispanophone/Lucophone nations.
That being said, the new naming mechanics allow for great micro management of fleet output, which for naval fags like myself will always be welcome.
If Kaiserreich didn't update to the man the guns it should work, but it truly depends on the mod sometimes. It should possibly work even after they used the Man the Guns ones. Which is still tested by me.
Will be doing that once we add new ship names for the new ship classes.
Yes the mod places the new names within the Historical Section.
Preferred languages: Portugese, German, French/Italian, Latin and of course English, but willing to work with translation apps and capable of performing necessary research. If you don't want any help I'll make my own mod, cause I'm desperate to not spend hours typing in each of my new ship names individually in game, it takes hourssss.
Please get back to me as I am desperate to save some time in my HOI4 playthroughs. Lack of unique ship names make me stop playing more than anything else.
@X sniped dude
I will do them once I am able to do so, currently having busy things in IRL
I am planning that but I have a few projects in hand, so expect more names within the month
