This game has too many nags, this mod is on the right track. I personally had to make a mod for myself to disable the little attention grabbing noise on those red alerts in the top right. To this day I can't watch a lets play of this game because of that noise, but I am fully able to enjoy the game.

And maybe a mod that eliminates PTG starved of oxygen... the most annoying in the game imho. I placed the power unit there... I _KNOW_ it's too deep to run efficiently quit annoying me while I pipe down some real power.
