They are part of the original game files and probably use the empire variants. If you have your own variantmeshes you can add them via the unit_variants_tables & variants_tables from the data.pack file.

Hey I've got a quick question to you regarding modding wise. I'm trying to replace the Sylvian Crossbowmen & Handgunners in my own mod, I want to give them a different varientmeshdefinition but the problem is I can't because I can't find any in the varient.pack and campaignvariant.pack files? Any idea how I could just replace their varientmeshdefinition or do I need to like make an entire new unit out of them?

I've done some testing the past few days and have everything basically worked out. Not sure I've taken it too far in some aspects, though.

Currently planned content:
- 3 categories of units (nobles, state troops, peasants), locked behind different tiers of technology

- Building chain to recruit state troops and nobles; not yet sure if I want to use 5 tiers (cannons on tier 5) or 4 tiers and a 4th tier forge upgrade for the cannons...

- Enforcer hero to buff mortals in battle, can choose between between Sword & Gun on foot and Armoured & Shielded when mounted, can give untainted immunity to the lord in his army

- Vlad's skill tree reworked & new technology line to buff and unlock new units

- Infrastructure buildings changed to mortal flavoured ones with slightly different effects, biggest change is no necromancer from the growth building (not 100% sure about this, since it can possibly change the experience quite a bit for some people)

Hey guys, I'm currently taking a look at this :)

Bad news is, I have far less time than I used to. Good news is, there seems to be nothing in particular broken.

With the addition of Empire archers, I'd like to implement them as well, albeit as proper state troops. They really fit in with the crossbows and guns being unlocked via bloodline mechanic while bowmen can always be drawn from the regular population. With Sylvanias military several centuries behind, it fits the lore perfectly in my opinion.

I still need to rework the Enforcer hero into something else (not really happy with its current state), not sure into what exactly yet... Perhaps even a lord?

I'll likely focus on the Von Carstein faction, since it makes a) more sense and is b) easier to implement.

Please, following this fabulous mod, would it be possible to create through the conquest of Altdorf and after building the College of Forbidden Magic - Vampire Counts - vampire heroes with the lore of the various empire magic schools? For me, that would be the Golden Key, the supersession. As is the mod and the submod is perfect but that would be incredible because it would finally make sense and go according to the board warhammer lore, where vampires can learn other magic schools. If they were "human" wizards, equivalent to the "human" enforcer (king specter), they accepted (sealed by the kiss of the vampire) the domain of Altdorf by the desire of Manfred / Vlad and Isabella von Carstein of eternal emperors of the old world.

Nay Milord, it works with all Syvanian main factions.
But the mod is discontinued until I have successfully moved countries irl.
Called for people to remake it and patch themselves, so there might be a ¨newer¨ version somewhere on workshop.

I'm no longer going to manage this or the SFO mod.

Sadly there is no way in steam to change the author, so if anyone is willing to reupload it and manage it from now on, I could just post the link to it in the description.

Only thing I'm asking to mention me and Selian as original designers, from there on you can do with the mod whatever you want.

I've used it in a recent campaign and didn't have any issues with it. As far as I can tell, the mods from the collection all work except for forced confederation, which might already be fixed by now.

Steam apparently ate the mod description, though...

Being a pleb who can't mod at all, would it be possible to request a light version that removes all of the peasant archer types (keep the mob), the sylvanian mounted knights and the cannon? I love the work done but alongside other faction enhancing mods like mixus mousillon, the excess of overlap there is just a bit too much, and the theme of having to struggle to get any kind of shooting at all with VCs is one I don't actually mind, and I love all of the remaining units and want them in VCs.

I hope you see my predicament and take mercy on me, but I know it is asking a lot.

Even if you could just add those remaining units to some of the default buildings for maximum cooperation with mods, but again it's asking a lot, the mod is still great, so thanks in any case.

Wonderful mod, CFU compatibility is the only way I could see to improve it. The Von Carsteins are sorely lacking their mortal armies, something they even had on the Tabletop. How does this mod effect non-Sylvanian vampire factions, though, like Mousillion or the Barrow Legion?

Although I use the SFO version of this mod, +1 for CFU compatibility! The units added to the vanilla buildings are still available but the barracks and defensive building are missing :( Reviewed the changes the unlocker makes and it appears that it changes cities to all be unique so no custom buildings can be normally added and that they have to be added to a existing superchain. (Crysnos Faction Unlocker document "Customizable Settlements")

have you updatet it? are the more units when you re-take the empire? i hope and wish you could make a halberd with shield unit.... that would be...oho! stil love your mod, just need to know if i can start a new playthroug soon.... the dwarfs are not fans of vampires! they have intervenet two times now... it's hard man :I i just want the empire! they are quite evil to constanly stop me

Love the mod, its fun to play Vlad as he was during the Vampire Wars. Mannfred fielded pure undead armies, while Vlad had a mix of mortal soldiers, vampire elites & undead minions for numbers. Is there any chance you could make the crossbows & handgunners recruitable instead of being limited in number to the bloodline tree? Also considering your greatswords and knights look amazing, any chance of the state troops getting a bit of that treatment? as the vanilla troops are very bland.

in your sub-mod do you think it would be possible to have some kind of healing for the mortal soldiers? that's the one ting that i get a bit bummed out on... i use only living units in the army now... and a terrogeist or two! i dont mean to nag :)

you deserve more! thanks to you and your friend (enforcer mod) we can finaly re-counqer the empire! and have proper soldiers. the undead grave guard and the zombies dont really fit withe the theam of vampire's ruling and puppetering the humans, so thanks to you we have more options and that is always good :D not to mentions that they look awssome!! but i hope they get a handgunner when the empire is under vlad and isabella's control... i can never put peseant bows in ther armys... it dosent look reagal you know ;) anyways thanks :)
