@Mythophile I think it is an extremely simple mod(Just add 1 simple OP Turret), So I think it works well in 1.6 and I don't have and error with this mod

Being able to vary the damage done is an interesting idea. I'll take a look.

Ah hey! Love the mod, but I would love to make a slight tweak and I am admittedly inept when it comes to modding. As much as I love insta-killing my enemies, I would love to personally have this thing do minimal damage. Such that it would riddle my enemies with holes rather than immediately killing them. The thought of just seeing like, 8 of these monsters in a kill box firing at the speed of light and just watching the both the combat log and active injuries start skyrocketing is hilarious to me. Any idea how I might make that a thing?

I am really enjoying using this to mow down my enemies but I need some help. There seems to be something wrong with the bullet trails fired by this turret, that causes the trails to be super huge and look like a huge visible gust of wind.

No, it's not an item that the enemy has. Makes raiding with batteries really fun!

The turret doesn't fire on anyone. It just takes damage. Why doesn't it shoot?

The definition of the OP turret has been changed so that it no longer replaces the existing mini-turret definition, it is now its own object. So, enemies will no longer have OP turrets. Have fun!

from what i see you simply overid the normal turret ----- you could just creat a seperat turret and the problem should be resolved

So I'm wondering if you can restrict the weapon from enemy bases in a defacto manner. I mean yeah sure AI might get them but if you give some form of switch to turn it on a behavior that the AI can't copy simply because it isn't programmed to it basically is the same thing. I'm not super familiar as of yet with the intricacies of modding rimworld but even a simple config option that lets the player choose how powerful the bullets are from max to min would do the trick. They just turn it off every time they attack and voila the actual turret does nothing in the enemy hands. Then just turn it back on when they leave. Obviously there's limits to what's feasable but if it's impossible to keep the enemy from having them a simple solution is to simply make it so they can't use it.

I don't know if that's possible. If you define an object I believe it's global. I'll see if there are any mods that can restrict an object to a player's tribe.

just to point this out, if you don't want to build this turret, uninstall the mod because it allows hostile enemy bases to build it too.
wiped out my entire raiding force as soon as they got into the zone. Surprise!

how though? If the caravan appear in the direction of the turret, there are no way you survive. You just die instantly. Can you make a seperate mod where only your own colony have it?

Sure you can. You just need to be a LOT more careful. I find it a fun challenge to raid a base that has these -- forces you to plan and execute much more precisely.

Mod definitely does what it says; entire raids have been wiped out against just one of these monsters, but I've also lost entire caravans because they've entered a hostile tile with one. Not that that's a bad thing, just makes clearing out hostile camps a little more tricky.

what i like about is that any raider with a "beautiful" and "pretty" trait gets their heads shot off. I think the turrets dont like beautiful women.
