Hi @NightNinja54, I wonder if there is an easy way to make this a unique secondary rather than a cosmetic alternative?

My Long War of the Chosen shinobi can equip the standard ripjack, but apparently not the ionic one for some reason. Any idea why or how to fix?

you can still use both of the incompatible mods and it'll still look fine model and animation wise ONLY IF you A) keep the blades in their proper secondary slot and B) do not dual wield melee weapons

I'm not sure why, but whenever I upgrade to the Ion ripjack, any soldier I have wielding a sword has the ripjack appear on their wrist, so they're running about with a sword and a ripjack, tho it's purely cosmetic and isn't used.

Yes, animations will conflict with other melee mods as noted:

It looks like itheir animation in arsenal(maybe in other places too) are bugged, can it conflict with other melee mods? Specifically for animations.

Nvm it must have fixed it self as later missions it used the correct animation, game must have fucked up on that mission leaving me in my confused state, great mod thou

I'm unsure if its a glitch or intended but is this sposta use the Templar melee attack animation? (the one the Templar gauntlets use for a regular melee), I am using your "Wrist-mounted Energy Swords" mod as well & assumed at 1st I just had the wrong one equiped but saw it was the ripjack when the soldier shot someone later that mission

Hi, I'm not sure how to do this as the ripjack model contains the animations as well. Removing the model would remove the animations. I'm sure there are ways to do this but I am unfamiliar. Thanks for asking!

Could you possibly add a version with an invisible weapon model? Would be perfect for the Predator Mod:

Since the Ripjack is horribly clipping with those beautiful Predator Claws, I usually use the Spec Ops Knife instead. BTW, Silent Takedown would be great for the invisible version... ;)

@nightninja i played with utility sidearms and got it working that way but for somereason only 1 gauntlet shows on char but works with rend and uses dual blade animation so im content with that but thanks for the mod love the ripjack as well so well done

Hey, good question. It's something I looked into originally briefly but I believe the templar guantlet animations are related to the rend ability rather than the "slash" that both the swords and ripjacks have. A more experienced modder may be able to explain further as I'm not entirely certain of this explanation.

@Revanite: Hey, this does not add those abilities. These are replicas of the ranger's sword so they wouldn't add abilities from the skirmishers' skill tree. Let me konw if that helps alleviate some issues.

Does this add Justice and Wrath moves by any chance? I've quite a few mods and I noticed some characters get the ability to use them. They aren't shown in skills or list when deciding their gear, yet only found those that are using the ripjack are capable of this ability... aswell as only the vanilla ones who appearantly use them...

no rpg overhaul on my end, I deleted the +20 aim in the config (not sure if this was rly smart, but it's gone for good now).

I'm having this problem myself, and after verfying the cache and deleting the config files and ONLY loading RPGO and its requirements, I still was getting the +20 modifer on blades, which previously also applied to the ones from this mod as well >>> AS far as I can tell the aim bonus is only cosmetic and is not present via an F1 stat check mid-mission. So it does no appear to be this mod causing it.

super strange, sometimes it's +20 aim - sometimes on loading saves it is back to normal.
So yeah the problem is on my end (with around 115 mods running)... mhh

@GUA: Hey, unfortunately the wristblades do not work in dual weilding mode. Whatever magic Musashi uses in that mod breaks this ripjack model. I've already discussed this with him and cannot fix it on my end.

NightNinja, as Vash and I were discussing, the casing for the wrist blade is too close to the hand, and nees to be shifted back to the forearm if you get the chance to update this. thanks.

Vash, I used the Predator cosmetic mod and added in the Dark blades. It doesn't fully cover the casings, but it helps.

LOL i tried to do a dual wield for a wolverine looking unit and the gauntlets make it look like his hands are covered with a metal casing its funny. Wish it would work tho =)

@stephen.c.shunn: That should be correct, yes. Since no sword is equipped, no sword should appear.

Considering there's a mod for dual-weilding swords, I wouldn't count these out for dual-weilding. Just gotta talk to Musashi; think he's the one that made the mod I mentioned.
