Pushed out an update to the weapon today. It's now using the WotC PBR shader, and vanilla stats for range and construction fees

If anyone has an issue with the hand clipping...It only looks like that if they have the "normal" or "by the book" stance. Just make them laid back and it looks fine.

@Viperarum I'd like to port the grenade launcher, but the animations aren't compatible and I'm mediocre at best at animation. I could probably take a stab at those other rifles however, at least once I get my other projects done.

Just got the thought if it could be possible to add grenade launchers from Mass Effect like the M-100 from ME2 or to use some of the heavier assault rifles like the Chakram Launcher, M-37 Falcon or the Striker
Im very happy with your work and appreciate it so this is only a little brainstorming for some new ideas ^^

@Id: honestly, i'd love to see a "Squad Interface" back like LW2 had. it's probably the best addition LW2 gave, apart from Coilguns and the new sidearms.

@Id1449 I'm open to the idea. But I'm a mediocre coder at best. Only experience I have is with XML, Python 3.0, some C#, and some Unreal Script.

Wouldn't really know where to start with porting that. Weapons are easy, because it's rig, set up the materials and archetypes, and copy and paste code from past weapons and swap out variable names to coincide with the new weapon.

Poncho you seem to be very active in the modding scene these days and I'm wondering if you would consider doing something akin to squad mannagement, or porting the Vanilla Mod "Squad cohesion" to WotC just to get rid of the tediousness of squad selection in WotC late game

Yep, the one under the barrel that everyone is complaining about clipping through lol. I know it's just in the barracks and actually functions just fine in combat, I was just curious if a simple angle change or something could fix that.

@endersblade Which hand are you referring to? I'm assuming it's the left hand (The one gripping the underside of the gun)

@ the hand clipping issue - while I am certainly not a 3d artist, can't you just, I don't know, angle the gun model up a bit to put it in the right place? Maybe I'm oversimplifying it, I don't know.

@Richard Are you looking at it in the armory, or in combat? The armory has a fixed position for the left hand bone, while you can move it around for in combat (See screenshot 1 vs 2).

@MeChFox Not sure what you're referring to? Do you mean the image in the armory? If so, not a whole lot you can do about that. Those hands are set in place, the in combat hands actually do work however.

@Eggy You're able to edit stats in the ini. I'm also open to suggestions on how to change them. If the damage is weighted to be in the lower end, I'll probably change the stats.

Is anyone actualy using this in a game? I am using the conventional one and the GUI says does 1-7 damage and standard hits are doing 1 damage. So 4 damage with 3 spread is the same as 1-7? SHouldnt the spread be smaller on lower ranks?

From what I remember of my Legend Playthrough (Now I could be wrong) is that breakthroughs *do* affect even modded weapons. At least it did so for the Viper.

@Spartan A291 I doubt any mod will work with that. I imagine they tweaked the stat tables of the original XCom files, and set them up to override vanilla files.

Breakthroughs, in theory, should apply however.

So, question. Great mods and definitely going to grab them, but going into this - will these work with other mods that tweak damage for weapon types and other mods that rebalance damage tables? The one I'm specifically thinking of is the pistol rebalance mod, but there's also the question of whether or not breakthroughs and other modifiers apply to these?

@Professor Spank It: Hurricane will come with the N7 pack eventually. Along with the Valkyrie, Eagle, Crusader Piranha, Typhoon, and Valiant.

Thanks. I just tested with some mesh swaps and the attachments look pretty good (default Assault Rifle attachments).

If you are planning on doing more weapons, then I request the Hurricane, a.k.a. a My Best Friend--never leave the galaxy without it!
