Nice puzzle, I figured out how to solve it by first trying 0000, 1111, ..., 8888 to find which digits are in the code using 9 attempts, then use up to 3 attempts to find which digit is first, up to 2 for which is second, then try both orders of final two digits, max 15 failed attempts .

At first I was trying finding which position the first digit is, then the second's position, and so on, but that required way too much juggling of indexes and moving digits around and needed too many lines. Switching to finding which digit is the first instead of where the first digit goes made it fit, but it still ended up at 95 lines after I added code to avoid trying 9999.

Also the statistics show the average time is over 200K cycles??? How...

Updated "b" version now does faster evaluation - customers get faster response while making it even harder for potential hackers.
