@sony0273 that is because the hypergridded interrior turret is inside. Keen decided to make hipergrid as separate word option so to make it work again you need to tick "enable supergridding" in scenario settings

@davidtorru22 Not true, you can build it fully in survival. Subgrids are only missiles presented on the picture for which you can find separate blueprint in description.

You can do simple test yourself - check the distance you can spot enemy fighter with turned off antennas/beacons/personal broadcasting at night with and without radar at low altitude. You can also make similar test with ground targets like tanks or small bases.

What you said is agreeable but you really over-hype that "radar" when you say the user will see the enemy before the enemy sees them, usually targets are identified by both sides way before 800m

I know only one other way for building VANILLA radar with longer range and it takes a LOT of space so it isn`t possible to fit into the fighter.
800m range doesn`t mean that your max attack range is 800m.

R1 and R2 missiles stock lock range is 3000m and can be extended up to 9000m (no point of extending further as graphics in SE is limited).
I`m a bit surprised with your comment because there are tens or even hundreds efficient ways of using such radar and I`m sure you will figure out how to do that. In my opinion it gives you huge advantage over the enemy.

the best multirole fighter bomber I have seen so far. simplicity in use and design and complexity with the unimaginable work&effort, as well as tactical use and potential in mind. Impressive...even though there are a few attempts at modular weapons and units in the workshop only very few manage to execute them this satisfactory while still looking aesthetically pleasing and still staying functional/cost effective. well done indeed! ^^

That's awesome! The fighter looks cool, but the most things i like are:
- Wide variety of weapons, awesome, no need in tons of specialized crafts
- stock 800m autolock - that unbeliavebly great, i was looking for that feature for last 6 months, for AA missiles
