I made a 2D, platformer game recently, and in one of the levels, it has something quite similar to this: the player gets killed for attempting the obvious. I found that it caused too many "rage quits", and that, overall, the player was unsatisfied even after solving it. So I made a safety net, so to speak.

Anyway, it was kind of easy, deserving your 3/10 ranking. It's been done before.

You know....I think it would be a perfect map then. It is awesome. I think the more you leave the player less frustrated (about dying for example), the more positive ratings you'll get.
I think I have seen in some of Meviou's maps a solution to that fling thing too...its quite elegant, cuz the player still is "fooled" into making that attempt, but they are caught by a safety net.
Just a thought.

Fluppy the Fluxton has a point here AD_79, you could simply put a grid next to where you fall instead of the pit (for those who make that mistake). Its a win/win.

I don't know if it is a good idea to place a pit with goo near exit. It is bad to punish player for trying to do a normal fling.
