Greetings! Can you please update this mod? Or make something similar, this was awesome :steamsad:
003skar98 6 Dec, 2021 @ 2:34pm
if its possible you could make a second states "little circle" for the cultures and divide it that way, with previlegies being temporary
JohnJames 23 May, 2021 @ 2:49pm
Well in the new estate system estates still exist even when their power is 0%. So you could remake it so their modifiers are based on the amount of development their culture has in your nation. Another option is to give them a % of the power depending on their culture's development.

I didn't know about the mod before estate rework therefore don't know exacly how it worked and aditionally don't know current implementation of estate system in eu4 files, so take this advice with grain of salt, but... Actually from player and IT guy perspective i belive current estates are much more suited for "idea of the mod" than older ones.

I'am not really sure of clauswitz engine capabilites and code implementation, but i belive you can make simple "if "check, like after giving privilige, the game start and maybe when culture changes(not sure about mechanics here) "if target culture present in target province:"(==True) , than add to target province specific modifires or flags, therefore allowing most of what i belive was core of this mod to be present and compatible with current version. For country modifires there shouldn't be huge issues i belive. I'm not really sure how "summon diet" events work, there could be some issues. Hope i helped at least a little :steamhappy:

@003skar98 I don't know if it's possible with the new estates rework. Do you have any ideas?

@AVE If you have any ideas on how to update the mod to the new estates system I'm all ears.

@Magickarp Cipher Lol done.
"Magickarp" Cipher 3 Dec, 2020 @ 1:32pm
Awesome mod and what im gonna say is gonna sound petty, but could you change spanish to iberian in the google doc... nowhere ingame is iberian culture called spanish, and even then cultures such as basque are more associated with old iberian then modern spanish culture, and portuguese doesnt associate itself with spanish identity

This mod was awesome, it helped alot when it came to Empire snowballing, hope it gets updated!
003skar98 2 Sep, 2020 @ 4:17pm
can you make it to 1.30?
Emperor Penguin  [author] 19 Jul, 2020 @ 4:03pm
@RandomEdits Because a province can't have two estates so it can't both have the estate for its culture and for the current estates.

@TurtleShroom Does it not work anymore?
TurtleShroom 19 Jul, 2020 @ 1:46pm
I miss this Mod.
RandomEdits 28 Jun, 2020 @ 8:13pm
This replaces the current estates with population estates instead? Why not just integrate the current estates with the population estates?
Emperor Penguin  [author] 7 Jun, 2020 @ 3:38am
If the cultures are the same in the code then the mod should work fine as is.
Emperor Penguin  [author] 7 May, 2020 @ 4:07pm
Not at the moment. Most of the time on this actually comes from researching and I don't have that kind of time for this project anymore. If anybody would like to make suggestions for culture bonuses, I'm fine coding it up real quick.

If you mean for compatibility, then it should work even if the the launcher says it's out of date.
Nicanor 3 May, 2020 @ 8:39am
Any plans to update this?
Emperor Penguin  [author] 20 Jan, 2020 @ 10:23am
Haha sounds good.
Wolves in the Throne Room 20 Jan, 2020 @ 12:48am
Ok cool, I'm about to add it to an existing Wurttemberg save and see what happens haha
Emperor Penguin  [author] 19 Jan, 2020 @ 5:20am
@Wolves in the Throne Room That is mostly correct. Accepting Burgundian and Bavarian would give you new estate bonuses but it would make your primary bonus weaker in the process.
Wolves in the Throne Room 18 Jan, 2020 @ 7:14pm
Has anyone tried this with BT? This looks very interesting, I'm going to give it a shot.

So as a small nation, say Wurttemberg, you take 2 new provinces, the main reason to convert culture instead of just accepting Burgundian and Bavarian for example would be to get more estate bonuses correct?
Emperor Penguin  [author] 10 Nov, 2019 @ 2:06pm
It should be compatible but only the vanilla cultures in Europe are currently implemented.
bratrstvoNODKane 10 Nov, 2019 @ 7:21am
Is this compatible with mod Extended Timeline?
Emperor Penguin  [author] 10 Nov, 2019 @ 4:55am
It still works with 1.29
ryuushiro13 10 Nov, 2019 @ 12:36am
Please update for 1.29 patch compatibility

Is this compatible with Extended Timeline?
Boaboa 16 Jul, 2019 @ 1:04pm
This seems like a really cool idea but it also seems convoluted, and generally pretty bloated.
aaaaa142 2 May, 2019 @ 5:34am
is it work with idea variation and mission expanded?
ᛣ Munin ᛉ 26 Apr, 2019 @ 4:18am
can you make it so its possible to remove states when its controlled by estate?
Same with capital, move capital when its controled by estate. or atleast allow us to remove estates if there is no other way

does this work with the Cossacks expansion enabled? I tried using it and it didn't seem to do anything.
DerRitter 27 Dec, 2018 @ 3:50pm
Gonna go for a 200% discipline Prussia with this
tamjamjamtam 17 Dec, 2018 @ 8:14pm
Is there no way to change capital with this mod enabled? Since every province is controlled by an estate?
Diamat 13 Dec, 2018 @ 9:59pm
Thanks for the quick reply. I do have other mods enabled, but they are only graphical mods and a mod that messes with the history files. As soon as I turn off your mod, everything works fine again. I tested it several times as Saxony. I start a game and declare war on Austria without CB as soon as possible. A stack of 70+ troops just hangs around my border, but never enters my territory. If you try this as Saxony and get a different result, please do let me know.
Emperor Penguin  [author] 13 Dec, 2018 @ 5:09pm
@def name = "Zach" That sounds like it might be fun, but the problem with it currently is that the list would be obscenely long. Maybe if this was rolled into the main game the devs could update the UI to make it work.

@AzeriFighter95 Too much. I'll probably do what mccfrans suggested in the Suggestions discussion and make a guide so that other people can help with cultures they know.

@Diamat This mod does not change the AI in any way so forgive me if I'm skeptical. Are you playing with any other mods enabled?

@roaringjohn Sure! Just include this mod in the credits somewhere.
roaringjohn 13 Dec, 2018 @ 3:52pm
Hey, can I integrate some things from this mod into my mod called "Extended Timeline Enhanced Immersion Project"?
Diamat 13 Dec, 2018 @ 2:38pm
Great mod, but at the moment it doesn't work properly. It causes enemy armies to stand still and never enter your territory, even if you're outnumbered by 4:1.
AzeriFighter95 12 Dec, 2018 @ 12:02pm
how much time did you put in this. wow
def name = "Zach" 4 Dec, 2018 @ 1:52am
I love the ideas that the culture actually has more gameplay than has in vanilla, and that you may have some level of interaction with those cultures.

I imagine on a more basic level, with each culture having an estate thats available if you have a province of that culture, but no land can be given, and such allows interactions with the people of that culture.
Of course, thats not exactly how this mod works as far as ive read, but Im gonna try playing it anyway
⚡ÆLP⚡ 1 Dec, 2018 @ 7:23am
remove austuria add hungarian
HIDDEN 24 Nov, 2018 @ 10:58pm
This is what I have been looking for. I would be all for a world wide application of this system. If the Devs are watching, they should adopt this system asap!
Big Iron 24 Nov, 2018 @ 9:29pm
They're close minded scum. Also fourth*
Emperor Penguin  [author] 24 Nov, 2018 @ 7:07pm
Reltih Floda While I appreciate the enthusiasm for the mod, please keep the third reich stuff out of the comments. Steam has deleted mods due to posts containing Nazi content.
Snopy79797 24 Nov, 2018 @ 4:54pm
This, admittedly, looks like how things should have worked. I tend to go one culture (RIP, 1.0-1.26 - Death is but a release) cause that was the only thing you could do with culture that was kinda fun. This looks like it makes it both more fun, and makes...humanist feel way less "I'm turning off gameplay mechanics now".

Edit: I would love to see this expanded into Asia. I play a lot of Japan and have been meaning to give hordes and China a go too. (had to delete old post to edit without post spamming, unless I am blind and missed the edit button)
Hooman 17 Nov, 2018 @ 4:44am
It would be a great idea to create a mod for assimilating cultures and getting bonuses for this like Mughals have. I'm pretty sure this mod would be on the top of list

VERY cool idea

but better if each culture still had classes.

Subsidized local development interaction is bugged - it gives u country wide -10% cost for constr/building for each province. It means u will have -90% cost with 9 provinces and etc. plz fix
