I'm not really seeing any zombies anymore. When I started, they swarmed a town I started in, but after leaving, I never really saw them again. I set up a base in the Holy Nation area and have not once seen another zombie. Any ideas?

Hey, not sure if you still work on this, but could you add a feature to it that hordes of zombies randomly attack your base like bandits and ninjas do?

Probably one of the 40 mods I have

I've used this mod in every play through for the last 3 years, and I've never had an issue with any faction getting upset I attacked the zombies. It may be conflicting with another mod you have, PizzaHut. If you look through the settings and what not, the only thing faction related this does is they're hostile to everything. Slavers and UC will capture them as slaves. Very strange the skeletons are protecting them - recommend looking at your other mods.

I didnt think they had a jail. It's probably something with factions and how they work but zombies should be considered criminals.

The skeletons in Black desert city is killing my teammates and putting them in jail when they attack the zombies, how do i fix this?

Still one of the best mods on the workshop. Really appreciate you making this and keeping it up.

Story continues: The guards are infected by the Rage virus and turn into zombies themselves as the door to your house crashes down, you take up your rusted junk katana and swing violently as the zombies rip at your flesh and you crumble to the ground dying, and infected by the Rage virus, you succumb to the epidemic and you are reborn into the Newland wasteland as a zombie wandering for more flesh to eat. This is not the end, only the start to something new, for today you have become death, and you must satisfy this insatiable hunger for more bone and sinew.

Great mod to play and listen to "28 weeks later soundtrack."
Story: You're out for a stroll on patrol looking for animal skins off dead bonedogs and as such you have a sudden wave of terror come over your body and you feel thee urge to run when you see the zombie horde approach. You run to town thinking you're safe. You couldn't be more wrong, as the town is swarmed and guards are dying left and right trying to fight off the horde.. Their turrets are useless. Blood only frenzies them on into a wild melee or chaos and a shower of blood pouring into the streets. You take shelter in a house closing the door; locking it shut. Throwing bread baskets and metal tables against the door. You hear screaming and agony from outside.

Don't feel bad. You made this mod at my request and I put an easy extra 100 hours into the game because of you. I don't know if this mod works or not, but it was an amazing playthrough and I greatly appreciate you going out of your way to make it possible. Thank you!

Nah, don´t feel bad. :)
RoyalFox  [author] 18 Nov, 2018 @ 6:14pm
Possibly, the reason this mod is so generic is because the original branch had so many types of zombies that people got put off and just wanted basic zombies. At this point I'd be happy if anyone wanted to take over the mod and expand on it further as if I set a zombie to be missing limbs then each of that npc would be missing that limb, to have random limbs missing I'd need 6 or 7 zombie npc's and I'm not interested in going that far.

So I repeat. Anyone can take this Zombie Apocalypse mod or the other one I made and add anything they want and reupload it. These existed to fill the void of zombie content on the workshop and I feel bad having lost interest in keeping them updated.

PS: The mod is called "crawling fogmen".
Panzerechse 18 Nov, 2018 @ 4:35pm
Oh, broken legs and similar would make them walk different, right? That would be an improvement, if. So far as it is, your zombies are just too uniform, in appearance and move style. Maybe that could help too....there is a modder here, who managed to make fogmen crawl on all 4 extremeties, like a spider. Maybe he knows the tricks to alter movement and attacks?

I don't know how to do any graphics design for games the only thing I can do is make the zombies use other meshes in-game and that probably wouldn't be what you're looking for. I just literally copy and pasted dead hivers to make the zombies. As for using gear, it's hardcoded in Kenshi for them to attack if they have a weapon, unless I could trick Kenshi into thinking they were animals. I did experiment with injured limbs but only ever got them to start with broken legs and not severed.
Panzerechse 18 Nov, 2018 @ 12:15pm
Questions:
Is it possible to vary the color of the zombie hivers more? I know the common picture of zombies is green, but the colors of decay are the whole range of grey, green, brown and in general...paleness. Also, is it possible, that "turned" enemies stop using their gear and attack like the zombies? Additionally, could it be made, that parts of the hordes spawn with already partly decomposed bodyparts, aka missing limbs and arms...a horde would look much cooler, if some bodies would just crawl and creep behind them, trying to follow.

That would make your mod perfect. ^ ^
Thanks for making this mod.

Good mod, have much fun with it!
RoyalFox  [author] 13 Sep, 2018 @ 5:15pm
The crash was from zombies not having any body parts and I fixed it as immediately as I loaded my Kenshi as I couldn't play my own save file.

I want to thank you for creating this one per my request. I was running over 70ish mods for what I thought was the perfect playthrough (for me.) Since adding this mod, I've removed about 30 mods and added another 10 for a new experience completely inspired by this mod.

I'm only about 12 hours into my latest campaign with this mod, but it's by far became my favorite playthrough and mod on the market. So much so, I deleted all my other saves so I would be forced to focus on something new.

Truly love it and extremely grateful that you made this version.

For feedback, I am not experiencing any crashes. Best part was hiding in the thieves tower while the Hub was consumed by two large hordes. Hid there for about a week and a half in game. Stole food, picked up survivors (I have Hub Rebuilt) and was able to recruit two main characters, 7 samurai, and a legion of skeletons (perfect for fighting the horde.) Loving this mod. I can go on forever about it.

Just did a test import and no crash with the update
RoyalFox  [author] 8 Sep, 2018 @ 1:41pm
I now believe it was crashing because zombies got imported without any body parts.
Goliath117 8 Sep, 2018 @ 1:12pm
no it crashes for me too sad boys wanted to pownd a shit ton of zombies :axesword:
RoyalFox  [author] 8 Sep, 2018 @ 12:50pm
Not sure what went wrong. I'll see what I can do.
Mootwitch 8 Sep, 2018 @ 9:23am
I have been getting crashes when trying to import it myself. I was waiting for an update.I dont run many mods. increased squad size, no roads pathfinding, unleash the hair, varied bandit races, minor faction pacifier, Garru backpack w/o light, hide player backpack, race blood, & pocket change. No issues with your original version btw.
RoyalFox  [author] 8 Sep, 2018 @ 1:12am
Not sure why this crashes my game instantly, anybody else have this problem? I run tons of mods so it might be a conflict.
Mootwitch 7 Sep, 2018 @ 9:22am
I feel this one may suit me much better. Thanks for making this version.

I'm really enjoying the other version, but it's really cool you made this version! I have a couple friends I think I can get into this version.
