There's already a version higher than Sterile. :P Treated Linen is made by mixing Clean Linen (before it's cut up into bandages) with a Nirnroot and a Glowing Mushroom. Bandages made from this (Treated Bandages, as shown above) heal 100 points with no wait time, cure any poisons you have, gives you a 100% increas to Poison Resist, and even gives you a 25% increase of Magic Resist.
Thx again for a cool mod!
Please understand that this mod was created with 'realism' at least mostly in mind. Although it's not marketed as such, that's the core of this mod.
Also, sorry, but I'm leaving the Linen Wraps at 3. :P Since bandages are lighter than potions, I don't feel I also need to drop the weight on the wraps- besides, it lets you make the fun decision between loot and healthcare. :D
The animations should have options or something, just remove its not a good choice, i dont know, but oh well its your mod and looks cool already.
Yep, that's one of the ways I get them; Vigilants of Stendar also tend to carry them, and if you have Dawnguard, Vigilants become more common. Though I imagine not everyone wants to attack/pickpocket those guys.
I have, but I figured I'd wait until it was 'done'. I'm a bit scatter-brained, and would probably forget to update the Nexus one as much as the Steam version, so I'd want a fairly complete version for that.
I currently don't have access to a modeling program; I've been using Nifskope to simply re-texture models right from Skyrim's files. So something like this would probably have to be shelved.
@everyone
I am currently working on the next update, but I couldn't say how soon it will come. What I have so far isn't exactly what I was trying to do, and I'm rather unwilling to give you guys something that "works better" than the actual goal, since it might feel like a major nerf (even though it really wouldn't be, it would just be the intended version). I think I'm getting close, though.
I have a small idea for the equipable bandages, but bear in mind I know nothing about modding. If you were willing, you could model bandages (or just add on some bandage textures for arms and stuff) that go on various parts of the base (naked/unarmored) player model, and if you use a bandage, one is put on a body location randomly. I think this would work well and be realistic, as if you were wearing thick, heavy armor, it makes sense that the bandage would be applied underneath, and if you were wearing very light or tight-fitting armor (shrouded is the best example) they would be visible over the armor. I think this could be the easiest way to implement this, and as you mentioned, you could make them disappear after a few minutes eventually. Again, please bear in mind that I know nothing about modding, and this is no more than an idea.
It would be! And I would love to do that- but that is actually wicked in-depth and far beyond my skill level. You'd need someone capable of creating and animating 3D models, in addition to scripting knowledge. While I'd be willing to work with someone who could do that, on my own I'm unable to provide. :( Sorry.
I was actually already considering that! Glad to hear it might go over well. I'm still working out how they would work though, as I'd kind of like them to "burn out" like torches.
I'm glad you like it! I know a bunch of people who like to play in a kind of 'NPC Mode', so I figured I'd shoot for a happy medium between that and still being able to get you out of a pinch.
@Skippy
That was one of the reasons I picked Nirnroot, along with it's alchemical properties lining up nicely.
Thanks for the comments, guys!
I got some other new mods and didn't get an error message.
