Wish I would have seen this back in the day. You pretty much just stole my mod.

For me, only the Treated Bandage works at all. Don't know how or why the others don't work, but that just might be my amount of mods. Cool mod though, I won't lie.

Great Work.

@Chiro. Oh, i didnt notice. Thats great ^^

@Silversnake
There's already a version higher than Sterile. :P Treated Linen is made by mixing Clean Linen (before it's cut up into bandages) with a Nirnroot and a Glowing Mushroom. Bandages made from this (Treated Bandages, as shown above) heal 100 points with no wait time, cure any poisons you have, gives you a 100% increas to Poison Resist, and even gives you a 25% increase of Magic Resist.
SilverSnake 9 Jun, 2013 @ 11:23pm
@Chiropterror. Hey m8, love ure mod. Reminded me a bit of my wow days when i saw ure mod. I have tried the Sterile bandage and it works just fine. I have a suggestion for even stronger bandages that fits us mid/end game players, that gives a good compliment too chugging potions. Im thinking crafting a set of sterile bandages and then be able too make them stronger with added items, like a upgrade... Would be fab =)
Thx again for a cool mod!

Very nice alternative to just spaming health potions every time i get into a fight.Very nice mod,i love it!
Chiropterror  [author] 6 Jun, 2013 @ 6:31am
For me, this is a balance choice. There are a lot of people using this mod for more realism in the game, which means making the roll of linen weight the same as a single strip of the linen (or less, since all bandages are actually 0.2 weight) rather silly. I might consider dropping some weight from the clean linen, as the 'extra' weight in the normal and treated kinds would represent either the dirt and mold accumulated in the crypts, or the powders and poultices applied to give them an added 'punch'.

Please understand that this mod was created with 'realism' at least mostly in mind. Although it's not marketed as such, that's the core of this mod.
QKB 6 Jun, 2013 @ 2:11am
I understand, so remove it for sure lol but about the weight, maybe another mod or a option please? I do have another mod for potions and i have tons of potions at 0.1 weight.
Chiropterror  [author] 5 Jun, 2013 @ 9:45pm
By "remove the animation" I mean stop the textures from flowing, since all I did was re-skin Wisp Wrappings. I mean, unless you guys WANT weird, flowing bandages. That's fine if you do, it just bugs me.

Also, sorry, but I'm leaving the Linen Wraps at 3. :P Since bandages are lighter than potions, I don't feel I also need to drop the weight on the wraps- besides, it lets you make the fun decision between loot and healthcare. :D
QKB 5 Jun, 2013 @ 5:08pm
Can you change the Linen Wrap weight to zero or 0.1, please?
The animations should have options or something, just remove its not a good choice, i dont know, but oh well its your mod and looks cool already.
QKB 5 Jun, 2013 @ 5:01pm
Best idea ever, Bethesda should hire people like you, great work.
Chiropterror  [author] 5 Jun, 2013 @ 6:39am
@Shado
Yep, that's one of the ways I get them; Vigilants of Stendar also tend to carry them, and if you have Dawnguard, Vigilants become more common. Though I imagine not everyone wants to attack/pickpocket those guys.
shadohart 5 Jun, 2013 @ 5:43am
In response to the Potion of Cure Disease quote, I know how to farm them. Just do the companion's questline-- the Silver Hand have loads of them. Then, wait ten days, and revisit the silver hand hideouts. They will have respawned, complete with more potions. Perfect, right?
Chiropterror  [author] 4 Jun, 2013 @ 8:09pm
@Giuli
I have, but I figured I'd wait until it was 'done'. I'm a bit scatter-brained, and would probably forget to update the Nexus one as much as the Steam version, so I'd want a fairly complete version for that.
Giulianosse 4 Jun, 2013 @ 4:25pm
Have you considered uploading this to the Nexus? I'm sure you would receive awesome feedback for this mod!
Slugula 4 Jun, 2013 @ 1:37pm
i can't wait to see what you do with this mod. Maybe add splints, headwraps, or something.
ozzytudor 4 Jun, 2013 @ 8:06am
How about once you have used a Clean Linen maybe it gets replaced in your inventory with a bloodied linen which can be washed
Chiropterror  [author] 4 Jun, 2013 @ 5:42am
@SeesThroughWalls
I currently don't have access to a modeling program; I've been using Nifskope to simply re-texture models right from Skyrim's files. So something like this would probably have to be shelved.

@everyone
I am currently working on the next update, but I couldn't say how soon it will come. What I have so far isn't exactly what I was trying to do, and I'm rather unwilling to give you guys something that "works better" than the actual goal, since it might feel like a major nerf (even though it really wouldn't be, it would just be the intended version). I think I'm getting close, though.
Seesthroughwalls 4 Jun, 2013 @ 2:48am
@Chiropterror
I have a small idea for the equipable bandages, but bear in mind I know nothing about modding. If you were willing, you could model bandages (or just add on some bandage textures for arms and stuff) that go on various parts of the base (naked/unarmored) player model, and if you use a bandage, one is put on a body location randomly. I think this would work well and be realistic, as if you were wearing thick, heavy armor, it makes sense that the bandage would be applied underneath, and if you were wearing very light or tight-fitting armor (shrouded is the best example) they would be visible over the armor. I think this could be the easiest way to implement this, and as you mentioned, you could make them disappear after a few minutes eventually. Again, please bear in mind that I know nothing about modding, and this is no more than an idea.
PRISTINE 3 Jun, 2013 @ 5:15pm
I am going to download this because of your Genius pitch, you sold me, and have a way with words.
Slugula 3 Jun, 2013 @ 2:03pm
I LOVE this mod. Helps the immersion.
Captain ♥♥♥♥ 3 Jun, 2013 @ 12:39pm
no bother mate i dont even know how 2 make mods at all :P
Chiropterror  [author] 3 Jun, 2013 @ 12:26pm
@Irish Dude
It would be! And I would love to do that- but that is actually wicked in-depth and far beyond my skill level. You'd need someone capable of creating and animating 3D models, in addition to scripting knowledge. While I'd be willing to work with someone who could do that, on my own I'm unable to provide. :( Sorry.
Captain ♥♥♥♥ 3 Jun, 2013 @ 12:14pm
it would be cool if there was an action for it like putting it around your arm
Cinniúint 2 Jun, 2013 @ 11:20pm
Cool I'v been looking for a realistic way to heal, thank you very much!
Chiropterror  [author] 2 Jun, 2013 @ 12:34pm
@SeesThrough
I was actually already considering that! Glad to hear it might go over well. I'm still working out how they would work though, as I'd kind of like them to "burn out" like torches.
Seesthroughwalls 2 Jun, 2013 @ 11:27am
sweet! Never was much of an alchemist or magician, so this mod is highly appreciated. Mod idea: wearable bandages, maybe?
Drelkag 1 Jun, 2013 @ 7:29pm
Nice! Reminds me of my UO days where I was against pots and only used bandages for RP purposes.
Macbeth Plisskin 1 Jun, 2013 @ 1:56pm
I'm going to love this :D
rylog9 1 Jun, 2013 @ 12:18pm
really good idea!
Chiropterror  [author] 1 Jun, 2013 @ 11:26am
@Mystery
I'm glad you like it! I know a bunch of people who like to play in a kind of 'NPC Mode', so I figured I'd shoot for a happy medium between that and still being able to get you out of a pinch.
@Skippy
That was one of the reasons I picked Nirnroot, along with it's alchemical properties lining up nicely.
Thanks for the comments, guys!
squidd 1 Jun, 2013 @ 2:59am
Great, I'll finally have a use for the thousands of nirnroots I pick to stop that obnoxious sound.
The Cyber System 1 Jun, 2013 @ 1:15am
I've got the "dynamic injuries" mod and haven't used it in a while because it's too complicated and invasive. This takes a different approach, but has a very similar result in the end. Thanks for this.
Regilla Marcianus 30 May, 2013 @ 7:27am
That didn't work. I'll wait for you update and unsubcribe in the meantime and subscrbpe again later tonight. Especially since I prefer the idea of bandages (for realistic purposes) over potions.
Chiropterror  [author] 30 May, 2013 @ 7:21am
Well, I looked into it a bit, and it seems like it might be an issue with Steam itself. I'm in the middle of troubleshooting the update for this mod, so I'll be reuploading it soon, anyway. In the meantime, have you tried restarting Steam itself? That seemed to be the most common fix to the problem. If that doesn't work, let me know, and I'll see if it's on my end after all.
Regilla Marcianus 30 May, 2013 @ 6:53am
Through the Skyrim loader and it says: "failed to download a subscribed file. Steam error 2!"
I got some other new mods and didn't get an error message.
Chiropterror  [author] 30 May, 2013 @ 6:42am
Hrm, that's odd. What kind of error? Is it through Steam, or the Skyrim Loader itself?
Regilla Marcianus 30 May, 2013 @ 6:35am
I'm getting a download error. Other new mods download fine.
Regilla Marcianus 29 May, 2013 @ 11:43pm
Been waiting for something like this for quite a while. Gonna subscribe and test it later today. Thanks in advance ;).
