look for the other versions of the same from me, there are many with multiple AI ranges, but for worlds compatibility, they all have the same ammo and block iD to allow it to be swapped around, and remember, the range given on any turret , as specified in the SBC code files is the AI range, not the ammo range.

I noticed that this 800m version will only auto-target at 800m, however manual control will still allow a player to shoot to 2.5km range. This makes server play feel a bit cheaty as players will snipe out NPC enemies at a distance where the enemy shield burns out long before the ships defenses will take effect. Any plans to update the actual laser range, or increase the diminishing effect beyond auto-target?

[BUG] i don't know if you can do anything about this or if its a keen bug but if you set it to target missiles (didn't test it with meteors) it'll keep shooting at where the missile was for about five seconds after its destroyed making the thing useless for point defense. (the reason i use laser turrets)

is there a working version with a lower rate of fire so it looks more like a blaster instead of a laser? also fun idea, convert Battle Cannon and Turrets (DX11) to blaster style weapons if you are on a revamping weapons kick :)

update - laser color and trail scale - much more visible now vs it previous colors... feedback please on this change
