Version 4.0 mod - stopped working
(Well, formally it works, but it blocks all types of unique ships: nanite ships, ships of the types of fallen empires, etc.)

holy crap, people are still using this?

this doesnt have anything to do with the mod but when you research sapient combat ai, why dont you also get the sapient ai in general

I really liked this Mod and got an Idea that is simmilar. Is it possible to add an edict that removes all the Bio Research like Leader life span and Bio pop grow speed form the research tree if you use the Synthethic ascension perk?

@That Canadian Polak It appears that they at least partially fixed this bug in 2.2. I haven't really needed this mod since the update. Are you still having problems?
Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz 10. dec. 2018 kl. 14:05
Will this still work with 2,2?

This is not useful for when i play, but goddamn this is great for the A.I.. Now i dont need to deal with each faction having an uprising, spiritualists making robotic armies, nor any of the other problems i had.
This is also useful for when im playing as 5 empires at once
Clockwork The Painfully Ok 11. sep. 2018 kl. 5:07
does this mod actually remove Sapient Combat Computer to stop a machine uprising?
im kinda stuck since i have a robot uprising on my hands despite outlawing them entirely, not having a single one in my entire empire, all because i reasearched them once
Knusperflocke 18. aug. 2018 kl. 14:17
@Bobthebuilder It's an immersion mod for roll playing. It doesn't have any actual benefits, as far as I know, outlawing the tech.
Just think one wants to play an anti AI campaign where they set their goal to kill all AI in the galaxy and then there is this tech, while it should be outlawed, still available. It's immersion breaking.
Eazycree 17. aug. 2018 kl. 15:36
Why would you outlaw them is there benifits ive never tried
Wodenfrey 17. aug. 2018 kl. 12:12
Salty Teabag...love the name, hahaha...
Felix 16. aug. 2018 kl. 3:39
Great mod. I always found it extremely immersion-breaking that you can obtain and use sapient combat computers by collecting debris even if you have AI's outlawed.
Lezzistrata  [ophavsmand] 14. aug. 2018 kl. 8:09
@xnadu27 Unfortunately, no. (see wiki entry here) [stellaris.paradoxwikis.com] I tested and confirmed that it does indeed create duplicate entries if I try to redefine them in a separate file. I've been looking for an alternate way to fix this problem, but haven't found one yet.
Chastity the Celibate 14. aug. 2018 kl. 7:48
@SaltyTeabag, is it possible to only overwrite the Sapient Combat Computer not the entire file? You can do that with most other files, so I don’t see why not.
Cookie-chan 13. aug. 2018 kl. 21:38
I mean, if you are outlawing dumb bots without any form of inteligence, you might aswell stop using robotic arms in factories and shipyards.
Lezzistrata  [ophavsmand] 13. aug. 2018 kl. 14:56
@Nilserich That file defines the combat computers for your ships. I have to overwrite the vanilla file to prevent the Sapient AI computer from showing up while AI is outlawed. You can delete the file, but then that combat computer would show back up and start trying to auto-upgrade your ships again.
Nilserrich 13. aug. 2018 kl. 14:25
Good idea :cta_emo7:

What does the 00_utilities_roles file do? Because of this file the mod is incompatible with NSC. I don't know if deleting the file causes problems.

Also, I think the "Custom AI Assistant" trait isn't neccessarily sentient, IIRC. More like a "Dumb AI" from Halo, incapable of learning.
John Canavi 13. aug. 2018 kl. 9:29
THANK YOU.
Lezzistrata  [ophavsmand] 12. aug. 2018 kl. 17:43
@Lizard Luminosity I looked at the files and is seems like the Sapient AI Assistant should already get blocked when you outlaw AI. As for the regular Custom AI Assistant, does it cause a problem for spiritual empires, or is it more of an immersion thing?
Lizard Luminosity 12. aug. 2018 kl. 10:49
There might be other AI traits for other leader types as well.
Lizard Luminosity 12. aug. 2018 kl. 10:46
Another thing to add to the mod, some scientists can get the Custom AI Assistant and Sapient AI Assistant traits even if you play a spiritual empire. As with this mod, I think it would make sense if outlawing AI and robots would remove those traits as well, just for consistency.
Bemoteajh 12. aug. 2018 kl. 3:21
Love it thank you
kirshnak 11. aug. 2018 kl. 15:16
Is it possible to make a trait to give to costum empires that removes the tech option as well? It would really make some more lore-wise.
