THE RIDE NEVER ENDS 8 Mar, 2021 @ 10:26am
Looks like it's broken with dei now, some units don't reflect the changes
jcarlc84 7 Mar, 2021 @ 5:56am

mister.monroeville 30 Aug, 2018 @ 8:18am
Noice mod. Thanks for the effort.
Sae La Vie 29 Aug, 2018 @ 8:18pm
Very helpful, thank you :2016skull:
Levi Yeager 14 Aug, 2018 @ 3:48am
Yes of course, nothing wrong with this mod. But if you have some spare time please consider to make an alternative version for me and some people like me, who play Rome 2, especially DEI for too many hours. I'm just asking, thank for your great mod anyway :)

The original trianglar battlefield banner is the shortest (see 2nd image). So I think the original banner arrangement of it being for medium was an oversight/incorrect perhaps?

I was never used to the original Rome 2 UI arrangement, as I've only recently played. So it seems visually natural to me for light units having the triangle style.
Levi Yeager 12 Aug, 2018 @ 7:18pm
Can you make a version swap banner between triangle and round please. It confuse me a lot !
Jazzu 12 Aug, 2018 @ 6:48pm
Awesome!

Is there any chance you can make the flags stay the same size on the upped difficulties? My biggest gripe with Rome 2, smaller flags seem like annoying artificial difficulty to me.
drahz94  [author] 12 Aug, 2018 @ 3:17pm
Light is triangle because the triangle banner looks the shortest and smallest. The icon also covers less surface area than the circle.

I was never used to the original layout. So to me triangle would be confusing for medium (looking in the battlefield).
tonetone 12 Aug, 2018 @ 7:05am
I tried to work with this but the banner switch is throwing me off. Even on the unit cards it shows medium infantry with the small circles. I understand this is by design but I don't understand why the triangle flag can't be reassigned to medium infantry to keep confusion down. I just went back to the original banner mod it still works.
Robin_ITA 12 Aug, 2018 @ 2:21am
Ok. Thanks.
drahz94  [author] 11 Aug, 2018 @ 7:26pm
The shapes have been rearranged (see image), triangle is light because the banner and symbol is the smallest.
Robin_ITA 11 Aug, 2018 @ 5:46pm
I believe I have a bug. While playing as Rome, I noticed that the heavy spear infantry centuriae, has the rounded symbol which is normally used to denote medium troops. In any case, nice mod.
MSTooK 11 Aug, 2018 @ 2:26pm
Nice work! this helps ALOT!
mitchellgordo 11 Aug, 2018 @ 1:18pm
now this is a nice idea. ty
oNe & oNLy Rammstein 10 Aug, 2018 @ 11:52am
dude nice idea, the original banners are so confusing
drahz94  [author] 9 Aug, 2018 @ 2:48pm
Sure, added those.

Keep in mind that this mod includes unique icons for elephants, chariots and pikemen (originally were mixed with generic sword cavalry and spear infantry). All cavalry have a horse symbol too.

Also the banner shape order is rearranged (triangle is light, circular is medium and square is heavy), as they are ingame smallest to largest banners in size.
Daniil.BSD 9 Aug, 2018 @ 1:14pm
Do you mind adding screenshots of the vanilla banners, just so it is easier to decide between the two, just a small quality of life improvement?)
drahz94  [author] 9 Aug, 2018 @ 9:12am
Cheers, yeh I wasn’t particularly used to Rome 2 UI as I’d mainly played Attila and recent TW games. But still trying to stick to the original aesthetic and design somewhat.
tonetone 9 Aug, 2018 @ 8:54am
Ok I'll get used to it. Thanks man I was using the old banners mod but I will stick with this especially if you plan on continuing work on it
drahz94  [author] 9 Aug, 2018 @ 8:46am
Yeh I changed it based on the image above. The reason is mainly that the triangle banner looks shorter than oval, while oval is shorter than square (and therefore light to heavy).
tonetone 9 Aug, 2018 @ 8:34am
Wait I'm wrong. Medium units are oval shaped and light units triangle now? Why change this it could be a bit confusing I think.
tonetone 9 Aug, 2018 @ 8:33am
Ok possible bug. Playing a battle as Rome vs Etruscans. The Etruscan mob has a triangle shaped banner denoting a stronger heavier unit and my Hastati have light sword oval shaped banners. This seems backwards
drahz94  [author] 9 Aug, 2018 @ 8:22am
Cheers guys

Thanks HCP I much appreciate your Community Patch, love the Attila features and tweaks.

Yeh, Olympia005's Banner mod was the first and uses Attila icons, but hasn't been updated in a while I guess and had some visual glitches. I wanted to tweak existing Rome 2 symbols and introduce new designs (also rearranged the unit weight UI more logically) making it like Future TW games and clearer than vanilla Rome 2.
LEGz|Pred 9 Aug, 2018 @ 1:23am
Much better! Thank you!
Working Joe 8 Aug, 2018 @ 11:19pm
Fantastic mod man! Well done!
tonetone 8 Aug, 2018 @ 10:37pm
Gonna try this when I get home. Looks similar to another mod I use
drahz94  [author] 8 Aug, 2018 @ 9:00pm
Thanks!

Sounds very interesting, would be happy to help if I can.
RyansPlace 8 Aug, 2018 @ 9:28am
This is done very well! Thank you for producing such a cool mod.

I'm attempting to create a mod that inserts Roman Numerals on strategic map army standards just below Legion eagle, horse and naval emblems to make it easier to track a player's various armies/fleets. I'm experienced in modding a number of other games, but new to TW modding. Would you be interested in jumping in on this?
