When I first looked at this it seemed like a very bad idea.
Now when I look into this again I see that the stats are pretty damn balanced, you trade your anti-engie power into bane of big groups and Snipers.

The only things I must think of now are:
1. How the sapper could be removed, and
2. Wouldn't it be quite pointless?

In case of the first I think the standard 10-12 seconds timer would do the work but when thinking about the second: If you're so close that you can sap someone's weapon why not just backstab them? I know that sometimes you may not have a clear opportunity to do so but most of the time it's really easier to stab guy in the butt instead.

Anyway still a great concept and I'll support it, it's a nice weapon but probably some issues should be solved.

This is simply delicious. Any way I can, I try to be a saboteur in online games. In TF2, it's a bit difficult for me since Spy's a tad tricky to play. The proposed idea of temporarily disabling an enemy's means of doing harm not only sounds easy to use, but innovative and a wonderful idea for supportive play when some menace has your team locked down. I approve of this and a lot of your other works. It's time Valve took a step out of the box with our favorite treacherous backstabber.

Hmmmmm.....very innovative concept you have there mate. This could cause so many irritating and disruptive deaths. But it DOES cost the Spy much of his Engie-countering power. Considering he loses that ability, the upside of causing forced attacks is justifiable. You have my support.

Favorited. For the Model. Those stats... well, I cannot begin to describe how unbalanced it would be for the spy to be able to hop around in a heavys face, making his minigun misfire. Or a group of heavys, since the sapper is infinite without ammo. Given, pros would switch to Melee, and newbs would learn eventually... but it just sounds too frustrating... and way outside of things a spy should be doing. Lucky for you, the workshop is not a place for ideas, and Valve will probably ignore it anyway. It's the model that counts!

+ for the model, but not in my favorite for the gameplay. A sapper MUST disable a structure.

Why not put it on sentries/dispenser/weapons and put the "ammo" to 0 ? (or down it very quicly to 0)

it should be that that the engineer building changes team, or goes haywire, for a breif period, like the device has a battery, and the engineer can destroy it like a normal sapper. a sentry gun would shoot teammates, but that seems to OP as it would instantly kill the engie, going haywire is better, randonmly shooting in random directions, a haywire dispenser, either wouldnt give out health and ammo, or steal it from allies, a teleporter can teleport them to a random location on the map instead of the exit, that to me would make more sense, than hacking individual players, makes more sense to me anyway

A new saper will fit PERFECTLY in TF2 with only 3 sappers (2 withought stock) in the game left . If Valve doesn't poot a sapper in I will be mad . The picture where the Spy poots the Sapper in the minigun sort of gives me the idea of a sapper that Sabotages (stop's from use) the weapons sapped for a short time from it . For the last time Valve , add this .
