I have the Virgin 390 (much better than the standard 390 DLC by all accounts) and so I swapped all of the scenario 390's out using R_WTools. You had over 100 static and moving consists and so a lot of work obviously went into creating the scenario. I liked the run very much and managed to meet the timings. Thanks.

Great scenario and I enjoyed chasing the yellows. Some slightly odd AI - a lot of Deltics and FGW liveried HSTs which aren't really appropriate for this route, and I also noted that the player train and several others had no guard/brake coach. But from the cab it was very enjoyable.
bruce_morgan 10 Apr, 2016 @ 3:23pm
That was one top class scenario - thank you!

marijn  [author] 27 Jul, 2013 @ 6:57am
Thanks all! :)
Marko72 27 Jul, 2013 @ 6:46am
Great scenario. Loved it. All that AI traffic tested my PC to the limit!
david.angus1977 6 Jul, 2013 @ 4:53pm
Yes, thanks, Marijn, thoroughly enjoyed driving that scenario, as I always do with your scenarios! Altogether absolutely superb! You know by now how I love all the AI traffic --- never a dull moment, and certainly could not feel lonely! And all those yellows....! Boy, doesn't it keep you on your toes?!! I liked all the showers, too. Thank you so much for creating this, and for your other ones on this route. It's a good route. The FPS rate was down to 18 - 22 in the early stages of the journey. Kind regards, David

@ttjph, Thank you! :) (nope, I didn't use all 22 delectics trains (I didn't use the class 55)), By the way, I think you will also enjoy my other scenario's for this route! :)
ttjph 5 Jul, 2013 @ 9:23am
Well, I liked it - immersive and involving, with minimal DLC requirements. The amount of AI gave my CPU a workout leaving Glasgow, but like you said, plenty to look at!
I have to ask: did you use all 22 Deltics on the local trains? ;-)
Right, I'm off to look at your other scenarios. Thanks!
j.french 28 Jun, 2013 @ 6:04pm
look on FB I'm driving on your senario I'll show you how a real driver drives an 86. ;-)
j.french 28 Jun, 2013 @ 5:23pm
To be honest I thought I done well concidering I was only 5mins down. I was working a railcar. What you know as a 101 the manchester liverpool express.
j.french 28 Jun, 2013 @ 4:50pm
My nick name on the job was The angry frenchman. Now you know why LOL!!!!
j.french 28 Jun, 2013 @ 4:44pm
Tell you a tail mate when I was on the job. I got a report for running in 5 mins late was basically what your senario set out. I had to go see the boss. I throw my loco key at him said. "If you can do better in those conditions. You drive the fucking train next time" He did not like it :-)
j.french 28 Jun, 2013 @ 4:40pm
To be honest mate you got it spot on. That is how the railway can run sometimes. And then you get a report asking you why your late :-(
j.french 28 Jun, 2013 @ 4:36pm
Yes mate ofcourse sorry I should of said It was a challange but we got there ;-)
marijn  [author] 26 Jun, 2013 @ 11:39pm
welll, j. french did you like my scenario or not???
j.french 26 Jun, 2013 @ 10:08pm
The 86 is not a difficult loco to drive once you understand how to use the tap changer. If you have ever been at the controls of one you would know. But your next senario get it right think like a driver.
j.french 26 Jun, 2013 @ 9:51pm
I was a driver I driver like a real train driver would and to try keeping to time when your chasing yellows is difficult.
j.french 26 Jun, 2013 @ 9:48pm
Hmm how do you expect me to keep to time mate when I am chasing yellows.
j.french 26 Jun, 2013 @ 8:11pm
drove many of the real ones Marijn so don't think I need any vids I know these babies backwards ;-)
marijn  [author] 22 Jun, 2013 @ 11:17am
I have created also a new scenario for the class 86!
cheff1 22 Jun, 2013 @ 10:22am
One of the best scenarios I`ve played.
Very very good. Many THANKS !
marijn  [author] 20 Jun, 2013 @ 9:51am
Well, John, I don't know yet, but I might make a new scenario for this route in the upcoming weekend (22&23 june). I'm happy you enjoyed my scenario!
eggysmith 20 Jun, 2013 @ 9:27am

Excellent scenario, enough 2 yellow running to keep you on your toes, just like the real thing. When can we expect another cracker. Cheers John
JLD95 27 May, 2013 @ 10:59pm
Very nice scenario, I love Class86. Thank you
david.angus1977 27 May, 2013 @ 4:43pm
Yes, Marijn, and I'm another one (who enjoyed this scenario), even though I didn't quite make it to Motherwell on time! Will probably have another go at this one, to see if I can keep to the timing. It's fun driving the 86, but it can be a beast of a thing if you don't get the technique right!! Thank you so much for all the AI traffic --- most impressive, and makes the experience all the more enjoyable! Cheers, David
marijn  [author] 27 May, 2013 @ 1:22pm

Excelent Scenario!! I also love the 86. Many Thx !
SGT.SMASH 22 May, 2013 @ 8:38am
Yep, very good - love the 86, the' greyhound.' FGW 125's a bit iffy.
Jaffacake 21 May, 2013 @ 4:02am
Its OK -ish I mean an express train in reallife would be given a more clear route out of Glasgow and you have used a mixture of modern day and 1970/80's era stock. this would of been much better if you took out the Pendolinos etc and researched a typical time table for runnings in say early 1980.
mrradio 19 May, 2013 @ 1:17pm
good point about you tube training vid i had real trouble with the controls of this train which spoils it..
