I don't hate it but one thing I really recommend is toning down the shade of blue in the water part to something like... the BLU Soldier's coat.

I was thinking more towards tiling, as it needs work in that department. However team colors are probably possible.

Don't listen to what they say about team color. Think of Freedom Wrapped or Macaw Masked, even Blue Mew.

This needs a red version, blue can be the beach in the day, red can be the beach at sunset

I see your texture hasn't been tiled but it is a great idea overall!
