Everything still work perfectly.
Koagulation 21 Dec, 2023 @ 3:21am
Ore yield does not work for me since rocketry update.
merchantlocke 18 Dec, 2023 @ 10:59am
More specifically the yield of ores. No longer does a stack of 50 per mineable
merchantlocke 16 Dec, 2023 @ 12:47pm
Has anyone else noticed that this mod has stopped working as of the rocket update??
A_Hurricane 2 Oct, 2023 @ 12:05pm
Works great as of October 2023. I'm not getting Nitrice on Mars, but that might just be how the game generates the Mars resources and not a problem with the mod.
-₪EPIC₪- Fail 16 Sep, 2023 @ 5:05pm
yes ores generate at an insane amount...
Clawsterment 15 Sep, 2023 @ 7:37pm
Does this Mod work on MARS??

I am getting a "Failed to load game: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" that I eventually tied back to this mod when running game version 0.2.3644.17681. Let me know how I can help provide debug info, if needed.
Grand Forks 18 May, 2022 @ 11:41am
this still work on the update?
CarianStorm 26 Jun, 2021 @ 7:23pm
I like this mod a lot, I just wish the ores were a bit under the ground for aesthetic resons, haha.
antoxa44 26 Feb, 2021 @ 9:42pm
Ok. Thank you.
Bishop Crane  [author] 25 Feb, 2021 @ 12:16pm
For now, no, there will not be a new version.
Sadly with each release of the Beta, the Devs seem to change the way ores are spawned more and more, almost seems in an effort to prevent this kind of mod.
For the newer planets ores are spawned as part of the planet, rather than as part of the mineables, so for default worlds unless I override the world itself, which keeps changing, I cannot do it for default.

For now, if you want to use this, you can spawn a new custom planet, and as the Mineables, set "Very Easy Ores"
antoxa44 25 Feb, 2021 @ 3:18am
Will there be new versions? Is the mod compatible with all worlds now?
Griffork 21 Jan, 2021 @ 4:08am
Nvm I found it. Looks like copper.
tousvi 20 Jan, 2021 @ 12:42pm
very bad mod !!!!!!
Griffork 17 Jan, 2021 @ 2:42am
I can't find nickel on mars :/
Bishop Crane  [author] 29 Dec, 2020 @ 11:26am
@Josep So I've had a look into this, and it does generate other ores on Loulan, but 90% of the surface ore is Cobalt. And I have no idea why it does it.
I'll have a better look in the new year as to what it going on, but at the moment, not totally sure.
Josep 21 Dec, 2020 @ 11:21pm
This works for me on Mars and the Moon, but seems to only generate Cobalt on Loulan. I suspect there's an incompatibility there. I haven't tested with the other planets.
Bishop Crane  [author] 30 Nov, 2020 @ 2:43pm
Any new worlds created will be fine!
It was just between two odd patches
ArmedBOB 30 Nov, 2020 @ 12:34pm
Is this mod still incompatible for new worlds created in reference to one of your recent comments.

**So for a week or so (the update before yesterdays) you couldn't override the default mineables
so if you created a new world since the 17th with this mod it won't work sadly. The method @Camularity describes to modify your save will work.
If your save is from before that then you should be fine!
Bishop Crane  [author] 12 Nov, 2020 @ 1:05am
Bad luck I guess, it does work, but its random, so its possible to get loads of one thing, but nothing else.
hathnor 9 Nov, 2020 @ 4:36pm
WOW got tons and tons of cobalt and NOTHING else. ??

Does this mod work for worlds that are already saved? Can you please explain what you mean by leave the mineables as default?
Bishop Crane  [author] 26 Oct, 2020 @ 2:58am
Ok, so after some fiddling.
Turns out you can no longer add additional options to the mineables list, if you even add a copy of an existing one it returns the IndexOutOfRangeException. Awesome.
So for now we are back to overriding the defaults as I can do that now! So trade one bug for another!

To make this work you MUST now change the order so Very Easy Ores is BELOW the core mod.
Then leave the mineables as default and you're off.
Bishop Crane  [author] 26 Oct, 2020 @ 2:18am
Cheers, will have a look today.
Reaper 26 Oct, 2020 @ 1:54am
Hi, I used your mod succesfully for the first time (2 days ago) in custom moon word.
Now I wanted new run, set the same setting and I got "IndexOutOfRangeException" error every time I am creating new custom world ... :( (I have only this mod enabled)
Bishop Crane  [author] 25 Oct, 2020 @ 2:09am
Yes, sadly much like the other ore yield mods its been a problem to override the default mineables.
I can define a different set, but the default one I cannot change.
The method @Camularity describes will work for now.
Lord 24 Oct, 2020 @ 2:31pm
Hmm, this was working fine for a long time (even with custom worlds) but I think a recent update may have broken it. Only getting 5 instead of 50 now.
Camularity 23 Oct, 2020 @ 9:15pm
Ok so I have an issue that I have a premade world and installed the mod. I dont want to create a new world. So after generating a new world and selecting VeryEastOre from the list, I found the "worldsettings.xml" file in your game save location, updates with all the necessary ore modifications. Old file has <MineablesOverride /> ... new one has a heap of xml tags between <MineablesOverride> stuff here </MineablesOverride> . Copy and paste the block into the old games WorldSettings.xml and it will replace your current Non-Modded world with the Mod data. Hope this helps any existing worlds persist.
SwiftCoderJoe 17 Oct, 2020 @ 8:45am
Alright, well as long as you put that info in the description I figure it would be more than sufficient, considering you're doing this for free lol :lunar2019piginablanket:
Bishop Crane  [author] 17 Oct, 2020 @ 1:21am
Now updated, but due to a limitation of the game I cannot for some reason override the default "mineables" so when you start a new game you have to select a custom world and change "mineables" to "VeryEasyOres"
I will have another look at this, but already spent a good few hours to no avail.
I did try it as "Normal" but you just end up with two Normals in the list to choose from.
SwiftCoderJoe 16 Oct, 2020 @ 9:12am
This mod doesn't work as of the latest update. ETA on fix?
Bishop Crane  [author] 14 Mar, 2020 @ 11:23am
Yep, if you go into this file
SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\544550\1445377891\GameData\mineables.xml
You will see MaxVeinAttempts and MinVeinAttempts for each ore if you set them to a more sensible number other than 2000 it will calm the whole ore spam down a lot.
To give you an idea, the defaults are somewhere around the 50-100 range, or even less for the rare ores.
aaron 13 Mar, 2020 @ 7:58pm
something happened and this mod just took over.. i have ores everywhere..
is there a way to turn it down some? i like the added ores, but i dont want to have them every square of my map.
Kirona 29 Sep, 2019 @ 7:21pm
I'm on the beta branch, I'd made the comment after finding a single chunk of cobalt, but getting 4 instead of 50.

Looks like the problem was on my end however, as Steam had decided, for reasons unknown, not to actually update the mod. Unsubscribing and resubscribing got it to download the updated code, and now cobalt is working just fine, I'm standing on a giant pile of it :)
MacAttack_UK 29 Sep, 2019 @ 6:55pm
Not a problem Sir, personally I find the Beta branch to be much more stable due to the fixes hitting it quicker and also the new shiny toys as you pointed out :)
Bishop Crane  [author] 29 Sep, 2019 @ 9:58am
Thanks @MacAttack_UK have done more extensive testing and working fine on the beta branch.
I've only really fully supported the beta branch up to now. I'll look at temporarily creating a separate mod for the stable branch.
although if you're not on the beta branch, you're missing out on all the latest cool stuff!
MacAttack_UK 29 Sep, 2019 @ 8:37am
Works perfectly for me but for those having issues you need to be running the Beta branch as Cobalt is not in the normal branch yet.
johnny21121 29 Sep, 2019 @ 7:52am
its not working, game wont start anymore, says culbot is not a mineable something
Bishop Crane  [author] 29 Sep, 2019 @ 2:04am
I've added Cobalt to the mod, it appears to be working, but haven't fully tested it due to a shortage of time!
Kirona 28 Sep, 2019 @ 10:12pm
Looks like cobalt ore is a thing now, any chance of an update so this mod affects it as well?

Also are all ores equally common, or are they still found in the same amount relative to each other?
Kap 1 Jan, 2019 @ 3:53pm
Nevermind, the problem is something to do with the actual game not your mod. :)
Kap 1 Jan, 2019 @ 12:17pm
I have done what you suggested - It's the only mod, loaded before core, game restarted.
But any map started looks like this https://gyazo.com/09dbe95bdd4144d9d212a3ed6a8b955b
Bishop Crane  [author] 1 Jan, 2019 @ 11:17am
A very small update as I noticed in checking up on it, that it didn't have the config for Geysers.
Fixed.
