someone help me unlock the basement? boght it from the steward no problem, latch shouws up fine bu askes for key. I cannot use the bypass because i dont have a house carl yet and the room is still empty. You could just have included a key really...

Finally, I can keep all of my trophies in the original trophy house in Windhelm! All of my primary trophies go upstairs and all of my secondary trophies go downstairs in the basement. Nice and tidy without having to load some glorified hideout somewhere else! Thanks!

I saw the name "Q" and almost died from Star Trek overdose... I was hoping this mod would add a slightly crazy omnipotent being in some dude's basement in Windhelm. Oh well.

Tried it but it appearnetly conflicts with another mod I use for my stealth character so I'll have to pass on this mod. With the Deathwhisper Cove mod (Assassin's Lair I think is the name of the download) installed, this mod conflicts with the ladder entry and the ladder access still shows up in the kid's bedroom even after finishing the quest part that allows buying the place from the city's stward.

I might have missed a step, but it seems that I'm missing the key for the basement trap door. I did go to the Palace of the Kings and buy the basement, but the door is still locked.

GREAT! THAT FIXED IT!
I bought everything then after inspecting the house, put in those console commands. I was then able to activate the basement.

Let me start by saying: I have no clue how the creation kit works, how easy or difficult it is to make changes and publish them or what’s even an option. I would absolutely love know how to create mods but at the moment I don’t know. So if what I am about to mention sounds impossible for reasons I’m currently not aware of, I apologize.

Here are some things I would love to see ‘fixed/added/changed’.
(all in my mind fairly minor, but I could be way off)
[FIXES]
-Kitchen shelves to the right and left be “activatable”
-Sitting at the kitchen table knocks off the table stuff
-Nightstand in the Housecarl’s room is overlapping with the dresser and turned towards the wall
-The bed in the HC’s room is overlapped by a 2nd bed?
[ADDITIONS/CHANGES]
-“activatable” shelves in the Smelting room
-Replace all diagonal shelves in main room with “activatable” ones.
-Alchemy/Enchanting lab shelves be “activatable”
-Replace the short ‘letter-holder’ shelf with “activatable” shelf next to alchemy entrance
-Add a Weapon/Shield mount centered at end of hall by the bedrooms

This is a great MOD and you are 100% correct that this is great single cell space to do this kind of stuff. Keep up the great work and thanks for the Tech Support!

There's a bug related to the Housecarl bedroom and the mess left by the former occupant of the house. Apparently if you don't clean the house first, you run into this problem.

Try opening the command console and typing these commands:
df495.disable
df496.enable
df497.enable

and let me know if that furnishes the spare bedroom.

Ok...
1st let me say that this is exactly what I am looking for in a home MOD!!!
But I am having problems...
I installed the mod before I owned the home.
The Civil War, I believe is over, because Whiterun is under new management ;-)
I bought all the home decorations but the text never disappeared for the ‘basement access’ nor do I think I was charged for it.
So I read the FAQ and went looking for the “work-around” in the housecarl’s bedroom – but it’s empty. That 'smaller room up stairs' is 100% empty.
Now what?
(I am deleting the mod and reinstalling it – and then repurchasing stuff, see what happens)
Suggestions?

briangifford, did you buy all the other upgrades for the house first? And did you use the mod that lets you buy the house before the civil war has ended? I've heard reports of that interfering.

I used the download Nexus version, for some reason it crashed when I did not have access to the internet. You get one free access to the basement, then it kicks you out of the game if you do it again. I now have internet and I dont have to worry.

I think you're posting under the wrong mod. This is just the basement mod and doesn't change mannequins.

this mod is good, but i think you still need to fix katana-like weapons on weapon racks. also, the mannequins don't equip blades armour, i have to do it manually, and they reset whenever i leave. last thing, mannequins should be able to dual-wield.

Your game all patched up to 1.5.26.0? I used to have crashes on an earlier version, but one of the recent updates corrected a problem loading mods.

Beyond that, I don't know what else may be causing it.

Ok I tried something - I first went inside the house with the mod disabled. After I got inside, I quicksaved, then after exiting the game, enabled the mod. The game started up fine while I was inside the house and I was even able to explore the basement. Then I went outside the house, and when I tried to go back in, CTD.

TY, I've seen other female ones and I do have a mod to buy them from Belethor. However, they're a bit glitchy and randomly disappear. Also, i HATE when they all "pretend" they're alive and move around til you come close or click on one... Had a mod with about 15 in a room and they'd even walk around and "run" back to their place when I'd come in the room.. It was actually funny the first couple times, but got creepy when they had armor on.

I like the mannequins, but as a female player it really bugs me that most are by default "male" I'd prefer my armor to be displayed on female mannequins? would it be possible to add some or an option that replaces the male ones?

yo bro! judging by the pictures and styff, this looks really nice, and since Hjerim is my favorite crip, i really want to get this mod, but when i buy it from Jorleif the "trapdoor" just stays locked. Is there a way i can manually get the key, or is there a command to unlock it?

It's a quirk of Bethesda's vanilla mannequins. None of their original houses have mannequins that are visible right as you enter the house, so you never see this behavior normally.

I had same problem in all houses so i unsubscribed and everything went back to normal. Something u did made these things happen. i remembered to remove my items out of Mod area, so i won't loose them...

With the newest update (April 1st) all of the weapons plaques worldwide have disappeared and the shield racks only half appear. I've gone through all my other mods, and switched the load order and they were all fine. What do?
