It looks like you missed a few units under the "wh_dlc01..." section. I fixed it on my end but others may want it corrected.
Speedy343 27 May, 2020 @ 11:05am
It no longer works on some units and lords. An update would be needed.

I suggest you only enable it when you play a chaos faction. There is no use having it enabled otherwise.
Yersinis Von Squeak 9 May, 2020 @ 12:00pm
Does anyone know how much of a difference this makes for the Chaos AI stacks/behavior?

This doesn't have to be a total cheat mod if that's what anybody's thinking. If you're like me and use a bunch of mods that add units like Shawmuscle's elite chaos or Overwhelming Chaos, whose units don't benefit from this mod, this can act as more of an upkeep reducer on just the vanilla units. Very useful for the game start where Chaos is most likely to get wrecked by any other faction and so having more weak armies than a few somewhat stronger armies is a good change of pace. Then later you upgrade to units that have upkeep.

its alright, its just a minor thing anyway.

I notice every comment posted, I've been away for 1 month and don't have access to my pc as I have yet to return home. Either way I'm not sure how I would have to act to make it compatible with SFO.
scrapped1 14 Jan, 2020 @ 4:13pm
this will probably not be noticed but could this mod also be made for SFO?
Spell 28 Dec, 2019 @ 2:50am
@Attack On Titan I checked the mod files and yes, it's for both Human and A.I.
noob 24 Dec, 2019 @ 12:01am
A.I. chaos no upkeep?

Soon.
af17317596 16 Sep, 2019 @ 4:13pm
update coming?
Reed  [author] 29 Jul, 2019 @ 8:09am
It's probably cause nothing that the mod changes was actually changed after the patch but the game still tells you to watch out.
SebZ 28 Jul, 2019 @ 11:59pm
It works even though the launcher says its outdated, weird.
SebZ 28 Jul, 2019 @ 11:55pm
The launcher says this mod is out of date. Will this mod be updated soon?
WarriorKing_Ragnar 27 Feb, 2019 @ 1:05pm
Reed Oni. Np at all. I figured to ask. Thanks for the fast reply.
Reed  [author] 27 Feb, 2019 @ 11:46am
I never played SFO so I don't know what it includes but if it changes the part of the units table that has to do with chaos I guess it would make this mod incompatible. I think I'd have to release a dedicated patch to fix that, unfortunately I don't know how to do that and I don't have the time either.
WarriorKing_Ragnar 27 Feb, 2019 @ 10:30am
Reed Oni, stupid question, is there any way this mod could work or be compatible for Steel Faith Overhaul Mod? Seems not to work for it. Just wondering.
Mirthral 23 Feb, 2019 @ 8:39am
Is this mod compatible with Chaos Overhaul or should I choose between on or the other?
Smoked Liposuction Residue 1 Jan, 2019 @ 1:40pm
Blah, disregard. I'm a moron and didn't realize that you have to go into the mod manager on the Total War launcher. I got it (and other mods) to work now. :|
Smoked Liposuction Residue 1 Jan, 2019 @ 10:33am
I had a mod that increases Dwarf upkeep since they were impossibly OP and apparently able to pump out multiple stacks every two turns. I didn't think that should affect it, but I disabled it just in case, and nope. Dumb question: I shouldn't have to start a new campaign, do I?
Reed  [author] 1 Jan, 2019 @ 8:23am
Are you using any mod that changes chaos itself?
Smoked Liposuction Residue 31 Dec, 2018 @ 11:42pm
Am I doing something wrong? I subscribed to the mod and steam claimed to update the game, but it's not working. My upkeep is still ridiculously high at 15,000. Effectively, this means I have to be able to raze multiple settlements (or one super important one) every single turn just to not face fatal levels of attrition.
✠Baron Von Dorf✠ (SF9912) 19 Nov, 2018 @ 12:47pm
Oh please we all know that chaos is its own reward for these warriors after all they bring the end times its not like money will be of use to them :)
Reed  [author] 12 Nov, 2018 @ 7:16am
I would like to notify everyone that now the mod is a TON more compatible. you might be able to even use it with SFO. Try it out.
fan_of_Daniil_Andreev 19 Oct, 2018 @ 11:23am
SFO is so big it's kinda too big
it is a collection of a ton of mods
I simply use like 15 mods SFO uses instead of SFO itself
and using some more mods ofc
Phobos 21 Aug, 2018 @ 5:01pm
Hey man, thanks for the mod it is great. I know you said you haven't made it to be compatible but just a heads up, I run SFO (obviously huge mod in the community) and your mod makes the game crash when I try enter battles, very weird that an upkeep mod crashes going into battles. Just a heads up, thanks anyway
Reed  [author] 23 Jul, 2018 @ 9:56am
Thanks for the suggestion as I've said I don't know much about TW modding, I'll see if I can rename the table and ave it work with the next update or when I have time. Thanks for the suggestion and tips.

And just to clarify, since "field" is a little ambiguous: by that term I mean the entire row. So if you're modding one little entry (upkeep, in this case) for a unit, keep the entire row for that unit, but delete the rows for any units that you're not modifying.
Tito Bandito 23 Jul, 2018 @ 7:54am
Sure, but even if you're doing it for yourself, you're locking yourself out of subscribing to any other faction mods that might interest you. You're free to keep that as-is, but the way to make this compatible is to rename the "data__" file under main_units_tables to some new arbitrary name like "Reed_Oni" or "no_chs_upkeep" and then delete all the fields that you're not modding. That way the game will override only the fields you're changing, and leave the others intact.

If, incidentally, you had deleted the fields without renaming "data__", it would override the entire vanilla file, even the fields that you had deleted: so you'd have your modded units for chaos and no other units aside from that (probably crashing the game).
Reed  [author] 22 Jul, 2018 @ 10:12am
I know that. I didn't bother making it compatible with other mods (just look at the disclaimer I didn't even make it compatible with my other one) plus I don't know much about TW modding so this suits me well enough as I make mods for myself and release them if others might be interested.
Tito Bandito 21 Jul, 2018 @ 3:12pm
You probably shouldn't use the ENTIRE data file for your main_units_tables. The way it's set up right now, this mod will conflict with just about any other mod that changes unit stats, even for non-chaos factions...
Blazing0Nexos 26 Jun, 2018 @ 6:15am
thank you
Reed  [author] 25 Jun, 2018 @ 12:57pm
It's fixed btw.
Blazing0Nexos 19 Jun, 2018 @ 5:42pm
thanks
Reed  [author] 19 Jun, 2018 @ 12:40pm
Regardless Iìll check the mod pack again.
Reed  [author] 19 Jun, 2018 @ 12:38pm
No upkeep for me. You might be using a conflicting mod with this one.
Blazing0Nexos 19 Jun, 2018 @ 12:30pm
Their are some chaos units that have upkeep such as chaos halberds and the forsaken etc... Should it be so or is this mod still a work in progress, other then that it is really great cause that was the main issue to play as chaos. Love to hear a response.
Reed  [author] 16 Jun, 2018 @ 9:42am
Just Chaos.
Reed  [author] 14 Jun, 2018 @ 2:23am
I'm thinking about reducing the income of chaos to 1000 gold per turn or 500 in the next update.
