Oh geez. It's been a long time since I considered looking into stellaris again at all. I lost the original files and my knowledge for modding had faded.

I can consider taking some time out of university work to update this version. and I'm considering for a new version with a entirely new coding and animation mesh. I'll also need to consider finalizing the design. in which I am taking much more examples of real life aesthetics and the speculative science of "Xenobiology."

havent seen any good tutorials that explain in detail, I mainly learn from looking at the insides of other mods till I got it. Eventually I'll make a simple guide for one around the mesh I created.
Also if you plan to merge your races, make sure that the species classes under portraits they have different names so all 3 appear on the same page on selection screen, and the species 00 can further seperate them by name.
notepad ++ has a read c++, and a replace all word function that saves me the a world of time writing scripts.

oh, thank you! i'd love to toy with a template like that! a tutorial of sorts would help me, too. cause im a bit dull when it comes to animation and scripts.

also thank you for complimenting my artwork! I try to give a new aesthetic to stellaris that still compliments it's artstyle

I like your artwork! if your looking for a basic template I created a custom one for my species. Its a mesh that uses 6 layers on top of each other while using 3 images, it looks like 6 pieces of paper stack on each other, it allows for the phenotypes, hairstyles, clothes, etc. I talk about it with C = C on how it works in the comments of "animated slime species" but the mesh youll need would be the one from my andalite species since their 2 different versions of my mesh.

The end goal is to have all of the mods together into one pack. but I am currently at a loss on how to do it. If anyone has a very basic animated race template, ooor a tutorial on how to merge animated races, I'd be more than happy to produce a mod that combines all three.

I also have plans in the future for more animated races! my goal is to create a collection of interesting aliens for people to download. one's going to be more humanoid in appearance and that'll likely be my next project.

I am a great fan of your work. Are all three of these Viskal mods going to merge together or remain standalone? Also do you have any future plans for more animated races?
