Nope. Handmaiden models include the head and the body together instead of separate like most other models.

Could you change the face it replaces? Play as mission uses the one.

Awesome mod thanks for making it
Aizawa  [author] 2 May, 2023 @ 3:11am
It's crashing probably because kotor 2 textures need to be ported to kotor 1 beforehand and vice-versa. Try with mdlops or maybe with mdledit, one or the other should work. I didn't edit any textures or models so they're the original ones.
Illium 1 May, 2023 @ 11:22pm
:) Do you know what would be needed in order to backport this mod to Kotor 1? I've been having a go of attempting to find handmaiden specific files from Kotor 2 to move into Kotor 1 with Kotor Tool and the save editor, but I am woefully out of my depth. Copying the files from this mod into the override folder of Kotor 1 does make some stuff appear in the save editor (the robes for instance) but trying to do anything with them in-game causes an immediate crash.

Do you know what files might be extracted with Kotor Tool and unceremoniously moved from Kotor 2 to 1 that might make things work?

Thanks in advance for any help

NVM It somehow works now.
Tomato Glider 2 Mar, 2023 @ 4:50am
I'm confused. How do I make this mod work?
How to edit the savegame?
Aizawa  [author] 26 Aug, 2021 @ 5:43am
Nope, the model is a one piece type so no. But she doesnt have a hood with any other armor so thats nice!
Illium 22 Aug, 2021 @ 2:12pm
hood good
Ink Vixen 22 Aug, 2021 @ 1:07am
Is there any way to not have the hood up?

I'm just grateful i can get to play as the Handmaiden. Bug or not. As a girl gaymer it sucks that only male exiles get the Handmaiden. I absolutlely love the Handmaiden so I love this mod! So the bug doesn't bother me because I am playing as a character that's unattainable as a female exile.
Jacada 3 Jan, 2021 @ 4:26pm
thank you!
Aizawa  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 10:33am
No I meant any armor, for example one of the jedi armor with stats, dark side transitions work just fine with them, it's the hoodie up robes of the handmaiden that seem to be bugged for some eason, well, the dark side hoodie version is the bugged one, the light side is fine.

I might just patch the light armor to not look like her dark robes so that people can use more armor, it might be better that way, besides they can still use the cheat code to get the dark side item anyway. Thanks for the messages! :steamhappy:
Zeig 30 Dec, 2020 @ 5:39am
Hmm, you mean using a light armor to get the dark robe effect? I tried that and I still get the same bug at the corner of her mouths when I equip her with any light armor (and if I unequip then re-equip, the armors appear as their normal models, I guess like you mentioned the game stops using the head and body together).

No worries Nymph, thanks anyways for looking into it. I still love the light robe variant and plan to use it in subsequent playthroughs. Thanks for this mod! :steamhappy:
Aizawa  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 2:53am
I don't think it's a conflict with another mod tbh. It's more likely an issue with how the unique full body models of the handmaiden are coded somewhere in the game. She's rather unique in that regard as she has 3 entries just for herself while everyone else has 1 with just a few exceptions having 2. You see, her original robes, light and dark use a different type of model, one that includes head and body at the same time instead of just the body.

This is why the bug you mention doesn't happen when you use any other armor in the game, because as soon as the player stops using her original clothes (with the hoodie, light or dark, doesn't matter), the game starts using the normal model system, that is head and body separated.

The good part is that you can use any robe and not see the strange corner of her mouth as a dark sider. The bad part is that I don't know how to fix it for now :steamsad:
Zeig 29 Dec, 2020 @ 1:22pm
Hi Nymph, thanks for responding!

Here's a screenshot with the PC in the first Atton interaction, where she's got that lighting thing going on at the corner of her mouths: https://i.imgur.com/KEjliDn.png

And it's only with the dark robes, I don't see anything going on with the light robes or no clothing: https://i.imgur.com/QVpeSUh.png
https://i.imgur.com/T6yzkGU.png

I can give a list of the mods I'm using too, but I've been systematically going through and removing ones that I thought might cause texture issues and nothing's changed. I mean, this is my first time playing the game, so it could be that this is just how her dark side skin normally looks in the base game and I just don't realize it!

Again, any help is appreciated, thanks so much for taking the time to look into it!

@Subdown I just published, Play as Mira's mod, have fun!
Aizawa  [author] 29 Dec, 2020 @ 12:30am
Can you take a screenshot of it please?
Zeig 28 Dec, 2020 @ 3:28pm
Hello, I really love this mod! Thanks so much for putting it together.

I have one little niggle with it though. Whenever I equip the dark robe, the shading around the PC's mouth looks kind of wonky. There's a dark spot on the left corner of the mouth, then a bright spot on the right corner. It's almost like the shading gets flipped on the skin around the edges of the mouth.

Would you know if there's any fix for this, or know what causes this? Depending on the lighting it's not an issue during playing, but it's glaringly obvious during cutscenes and makes it seem like she's got alternating spots on her face. I am using quite a few mods, but nothing that I think would modify the files this mod uses.

Thanks for any help you can give me, and again thanks for this mod!
Jacada 25 Nov, 2020 @ 9:18pm
Is it possible to do one of these for Mira?
TECHNO_MAGE 9 Oct, 2020 @ 10:18am
Well thank you for taking the time to reply. I never would have thought about that type of issue.
Aizawa  [author] 18 Aug, 2020 @ 4:27am
Lol, no problem! Happy to help!
LollipopBarbie 15 Aug, 2020 @ 11:17am
it worked! thanks so much! was starting to think i was screwed on not getting her dark robes. glad i was wrong! thanks so much! :steamhappy:
LollipopBarbie 15 Aug, 2020 @ 11:03am
omg god i am a idiot. i missed a underscore when i wrote the cheat down lol. will try again
LollipopBarbie 15 Aug, 2020 @ 10:57am
okay i just entered the revealmap cheat and that worked. so why isn't the handmaiden robe cheat not working?
LollipopBarbie 15 Aug, 2020 @ 10:48am
no. i am using the mod to play as the Handmaiden. i only want her darkside robes. it's the only reason i decided to give the cheats a go. her lighstide robes work. but the darkside ones's not so much
Vlkolak26 15 Aug, 2020 @ 10:45am
Is there a Atris head skin
LollipopBarbie 15 Aug, 2020 @ 10:35am
yeah that part worked. i was unable to move. but nothing happened when i entered the code
Aizawa  [author] 15 Aug, 2020 @ 2:52am
When you are in the game, with your exile standing around, hit the console key. You will know when you have hit the right key because your character is unable to move until you hit enter. If you are certain that you have the console open then it is a good idea to hit backspace a couple of times before typing the cheat code and then hitting enter to confirm.
LollipopBarbie 14 Aug, 2020 @ 10:08pm
okay i entered in the "EnableCheats=1" and that part seem to work. but i tried the handmaiden robe cheats but didn't work. am i missing something? i even when to properties and the "EnableCheats=1" was there. so what did i do wrong?
LollipopBarbie 2 Jul, 2020 @ 2:29am
I had to uninstall Saints Row 2 because i tried to get a mod and and the game became unplayable. im not looking forward to doing that again
Aizawa  [author] 2 Jul, 2020 @ 2:11am
Haha, well dont fret, you cannot break anything with something this simple and you only learn by doing yourself, so go for it! There are instructions for how to enable the cheat console up there in the description of this mod, if you get lost let me know!
LollipopBarbie 2 Jul, 2020 @ 1:24am
i really appreciate the feedback Nymph. but unfortunately i am new to PC and not only do i not know how to access the cheats but i also don't trust myself deleting or removing things
Aizawa  [author] 8 Jun, 2020 @ 2:30am
hey Krystal, so as other might have pointed out in the past, the dark side part was supposed to work with light armors but for reasons I have yet to understand it doesn't, or doesn't most of the time. However, if you want the dark side look you can still use the other method! Open the cheat console and type "giveitem a_robe_139" and there you have it :steamhappy: I usually prefer this method because at least these robes have a minimum of stats too. Enjoy and thanks for the super kind words! PD: if the cheats used tag bothers you, you can remove it with the savegame editor, which can be found in the workshop too, it's super easy to use.
LollipopBarbie 7 Jun, 2020 @ 9:00pm
i highly recommend this mod for anyone who loves the Handmaiden as much as i do but can't get get as a companion. and who might actually want to use a a handmaiden skin mod. but i do have one concern though. currently i am aligned with the darkside. but when i wear clothing i am wearing her lightside and not her darkside robe

havent found a mod with atris head skin
Illium 19 May, 2020 @ 7:42pm
@The Void If I remember correctly, when I was using this mod some time ago all the armors appeared as default for me. In order to look like handmaiden I had to spawn and equip the handmaiden robe listed in the description.
Mako The Wet 19 May, 2020 @ 2:03pm
If I use heavy armor or anything other than light armor will it show equipped armor or handmaiden robs? I want to be able to equip in game armor throughout story and not always have handmaiden robes.
Aizawa  [author] 10 May, 2020 @ 2:51pm
@Techno_mage I wish I could but sadly Mission's files aren't within Kotor 2 files, which means that I'd have to export them from kotor 1... which is technically against copyright... so yeah, like I said before, that's a no no :steamsad:
TECHNO_MAGE 8 May, 2020 @ 9:55pm
I would love to see a mod for mission!
jacob.holbrook95 27 Jan, 2020 @ 7:31pm
I'd love to see a skin to play HK but be able to change the skin on him just like how with other mods you can change HK-47's skin. Keep up the fantastic work man!
Vlkolak26 23 Dec, 2019 @ 6:18pm
could you do a skin for Atris
Aizawa  [author] 3 May, 2019 @ 1:14am
In what screen did the textures apply but not the model?
76561198099058999 1 May, 2019 @ 3:21pm
So I'm a bit confused-ish right now:

I'm loaded into the game, and the mod works, but when I exit the game (after not making any characters at all) and then come back, the textures for handmaiden are applied, but the model is not. I fixed it by un-subbing then re-subbing though. I just wanted to let you know, and tell others how to fix the issue if they come across it. When you make the actual save file it works.

But the real reason for this comment, is to ask a question. Why aren't handmaiden's trademark robes aren't her basic clothes? I thought it was just a fluke, and started the game anyway, but it also gave me the stock no-armor model rather than handmaiden's. Is it supposed to be that way? I'm afraid it might not be working properly, and I'm not at all a mod-er so I don't know if it's a problem...
Illium 5 Feb, 2019 @ 7:41am
AHAHAHAHA!! I just discovered I can have anyone wear these handmaiden robes and it will turn them into her. Time to spawn in a full set for everyone lmfao this is fantastic.
Aizawa  [author] 5 Feb, 2019 @ 7:34am
Yay! :steamhappy:
Illium 5 Feb, 2019 @ 7:34am
Ayyeee I got the defense bonuses updated and working :) Thanks again for your help and for the mod.
Aizawa  [author] 5 Feb, 2019 @ 7:13am
Then for whatever reason the game's engine isn't using the appearance 2da file of my mod, it may be another hardcoded thing :steamsad: Thanks for letting me know though!
