Hello. I found your Bane for Tank https://www.gamemaps.com/details/5659 . However, there is no FPS arms. Does it have a purpose of having no FPS arms ?

@Madara I thought I replied before, but apparently forgot to press post. It's a good idea about random tracers, although stuff like syncing colors isn't possible. I might make it at some point, but now I got many other things in queue that need to be worked on.

I have a request.
Can make this mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1345030172 with:

1. Random Colour Tracers just like Team Fortress 1 & 2
2. Random works on player and survivor as well in any game modes ( online and offline )
3. Match random colour tracer and random muzzle flash are match

@Madara some pipebomb model replacements can have the sparkle/tripwire effect disabled. I can't provide support or answer for other mods, but that mod you mentioned would not be responsible for missing effect. The manifest also wouldn't affect any of that.

I have another question but not about laser sight. I noticed that my pipebomb spark is not appear and I think there's something wrong about this mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=484385819 . I hope that you find an answer and if so, can you make the updated muzzle flash particle manifest so that the pipebomb spark appear. Thanks and cheers.

There aren't appearance/function differences from the previous one. Only noticeable changes are visibility fixes and name of the mod

I don't use legacy particle support so there's no problem with my updated muzzle flash. I will let you know if i found another particle that i like. Thanks for explanation. You are awesome

I actually just tested and my particle support mods override that mod without a problem, regardless of position in addons list. I assume this is because pcf files are loaded from manifest in the order they're listed, latter ones rewriting previous. The only issue you will encounter with that mod is virtual conflict with "legacy particles support", because the author used textures from there without changing paths.

Yes, that's what I mentioned in the previous post, if it was unclear. It won't conflict with manifest anyhow. But it might override some effect mods, maybe. I can't say for sure if it does or whether it depends on addons menu position. It ain't really possible to just adapt mods like that specifically for the manifest system.

The lazers might still work, maybe depending on their position in addons list. They worked when I tested with that mod. However, since it uses all the materials from "particles support" , it will conflict with that one. It does use the effects too, presumably, which give 50% chance of it affecting "particles support" updates ( if I ever will update that one again ). I just can't do something about someone else's mod or bother with it, and be responsible for conflicts they cause.
TL;DR: the lazers/tracers will still work with that, likely. If they don't, you may experiment with addonslist or subscribing/unsubscribing order

I will let know you know that I have only 3 particle mods:
2 of them have particle manifest which are:
1. Random laser sights
2. Defibrillator

3. Weapon muzzle flash ( request for particle manifest )

I have another mods that I really like but not laser sights. Check out https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=484385819 . I like everything about it. Would you consider making it compatible with particle manifest to those people who wants updated muzzle flashes?

1) It isn't fully random, the color randomizer in particles allows to define two colors, and it picks randomly between two ( within range ). I use yellow and pink. To explain, see this image https://i.imgur.com/rgtqgND.jpg , and imagine that color can be between top left ( yellow ) and bottom right ( pink ). That may be not 100% precise how it works, but it's how I think it works. I can use other colors, of course, too, I just been using these based on my personal theory / speculation
that it makes sense because they're kinda on opposite ends of RGB spectre. Before I also used a "tint perc" setting that randomizes even more upon that, but it was causing a lot of white colors and I didn't like that.
2) I don't know a way to make specific random colors. With this particular renderer, "render rope", which is the type of renderer used to make sprites like this beam stretch all over from gun barrel to the target, I can't use sequenced ( animated frames ) sprites

3) Sorry I didn't really grasp the meaning of the question. But there isn't any, like, sophisticated programming possible with effects, I mean, in relation to game assets etc.

1b) The dot has always been different from line/beam, because I can't sync them. There is no operator/initializer that allows to "grab" the color from a parent particle ( the "dot" is a "child" effect linked to beam ), if there was, then I could sync them.

I finally found today why, annoyingly, sometimes beams become faded and barely visible - the smoke sprite that is used for this has a dark area in the middle, and it was scrolling slowly, and because I changed amount of sprites along beam path from several to one, it became noticeable. I'll update in a few days.

I have a question.
1. How many colours are there in random?

2. If it less random colours, can you make more?
Base on other people's like solid (dark blue, yellow, pink, red, green, purple, orange, cyan blue, other colours)

3. Is it possible for player to have a randomize laser sights to those people who have a colorful personality that likes colorful stuff like laser sights. To be honest, my personality is colorful and indeed I like colorful things. Not only me but for those people as well who play L4D2 games and likes colorful stuffs such as laser sights.

Bugs:
1. When combine with Predator laser sights, the line layer colour is different from triple dots colour. Let say green laser sight but the triple dots colour is different for non-player survivor. As for the ( player ) is works well. I hope that someday player have a random laser sights + predator laser sights.
