This is, by far, one of the snarkiest and most hilarious civs I've had the privilege of playing against (and as), and I commend you for being almost 100% true to Rennac's sarcasm. Wish he had an equally snarky remark for being surpassed in culture rather than the default one.

That minor complaint aside, great work ^^

An interesting thing happened the second time I played this Civ. When I got to 20,000,000 gold the count reset to Zero. This made the game more interesting. One I got to 300,000 I could not spend enough gold rationally to equal the interest I was earning.

This Civ is way overpowering. The merchants guild should be a national wonder. By the end of the game I have 50 million gold; every city has every structure that can be built. Then they have the Rogues on top of this!!! It was fun to play, but it is far to easy to win. I play on Legendary (level 7) one step down from Diety. It would probably be easy to win on Diety as well with this Civ. When you have 20 cities with the Guild you are gaining 20% per turn compound interest.

1% interest - better than the bank.

You won’t lose trade routes for losing cities. If you go down from 3 cities to 2, you’ll keep your first granted trade route, and you’ll need to go up to 6 cities for the next one.

Hey what happens if you have 3 cities and all your trade routes active, and then lose a city losing the trade route? Does the caravan/cargo ship just disappear?

The only democracy in a world of tyrants. Much approval. Can't wait to take them out for a spin of bringing the light of liber---world conquest to the people.

Try finding some decent art and personality in them.
Klimt was just an Elder of the Council, Pablo met his end at Eirika's blade.
Carcino is ruled by a Council of Elders, which Rennac's father used to be a part of as a wealthy merchant. It's not such a big leap in logic then to assume that Rennac would succeed his old man, especially as a representative.

why is Rennac leader of Carcino? Shouldn't it be Klimt or Pablo?
