sorry for late comment but how do i use ive looked at that guide thing but when i place it all their is is a group called entity [2][prop ragdoll]

make sure all weapon class events have hide argument set on true

When i rename it to self and the cube pops up my toolgun is still in my hand but flashing really fast

This dupe doesn't have a viewmodel.The viewmodel is the firstperson

Right, but when I spawn the thing in, open up the editor, and set the dupe's pac owner name to self, I don't see any viewmodel options anywhere

you don't have to create groups,just change the current groups. There is only a group,put its owner name to "self"

When I spawn in the dupe and get past setting the owner's name to "self," there is no group called "viewmodel," and creating my own group, calling it "viewmodel," and setting its owner to viewmodel does nothing

because it's one of the most used addons,you find it in the first page of the most uprated addons

tip:
You don't need to bind pac events
just create "command"
and type "pac_event (event name here) 2"
After that add button event under command

Click the group,it should appear down.If it doesn't make sure advanced mode is enabled
